Autumn

Conkers ready to spurt from their spiky, green shells.

Throughout the year.

Eventually they plummet to the bottom of a conker tree.

Boys dress up as vampires, girls as witches.

Trick and treaters knock for sweets.

Wary neighbours peek through their windows.

Leaves gently fade from green to red.

Breezes makes them dance to the ground.

Gardens are filled with remnants of crunchy leaves.

Bonfire night approaches, dogs hide with fear.

Fireworks bang and crackle in the night sky.

Fires blaze,marshmallows toasted,hot chocolate drank.
