Winter poem by Lilly STC

Frosted grass catches
the sunlight-it shines
like glass shards.

Iced trees taking
in the misty breeze
like fairies bumping into humans.

Snow drifts across the city
in a misty way; soft and white snow
kidnaps the streets.

Sharp icicles drip down
onto the windowsill
like water drips on the floor.

Pointy snowflakes
as soft as a
newly made piece of dough.

Hot chicken dinners with
delicious turkey for main.
Children drink warm cocoa
whilst the cold snowstorm goes on.

Savoury, salty spices
fill my nostrils with
utter hunger.
