The Dragon in the Crystal Cave

The Dragon in the Crystal Cave

The dragon is sat crouching over his precious gold in the depths of the Crystal Cave.

His rough skin is scaly and cold to touch; his wings are folded over him like a damp, wet cloth.

His spine is jagged, like a row of giant teeth, and his scales move with his body, creating patterns.

As his claws grip on the cold and wet floor, his talons, gnarled like a witch’s hand, clench down on gold and silver coins.

As he yawns, his strong jaws display his teeth, which are as sharp as a blade, and his tongue which is forked and slimy.

His eyes are shimmering, like a pearl reflecting the light off the glittering treasure.

The dragon finally leaves the cave, soars into the night sky; his wing flap elegantly towards the bright moon.
