The Mysterious Emporium Prologue by James

There are some places that seem abandoned, but they’re not. The Mysterious Emporium was like that.

Even though on special occasions, fairy lights would twinkle in the window, invitingly. Even though shelves lined with books seemed to breathe and be alive. Even though the shovelling of coal, fuelling ovens could be heard. Even though the smell of chocolate, mint and caramel came from there. Even though an old wooden sign hung in the window, saying open 24/7.

But no member of the public had ever set foot in the Emporium. People would walk past and stare at the old building, wondering why it had not closed of bankruptcy.

That was until Bob.
