Fireflower

Fireflowers blossom

like flakes from

vicious volcanoes waking at sun set

Pollen shimmers like glitter in the eerie night sky

leaving a trail of dust behind.

Leaves drip lava like ashes pouring out a fire,

Roots crumble as softly

as freshly baked crumble and custard.

Leaves flame in the sunlight

As bright as a bombfire.

Stems shred like the machine

you put paper in to get ripped up,

Twigs scream as they

loudly snap into many pieces.

Seeds grow as slowly as a pear tree

in farm.
