Flamingo Flowers

Flamingo Flowers gaze at the sunset, 

like a bulging bird.

Their pretty pink petals blossom,

while they grasp onto branches.

Their pollen hiding,

like gold locked in a safe.

Their emerald green stem,

as green as a cat’s eyes.

Their bright yellow pistil,

like the shining  sun.  

Flamingo flowers stand tall

as tall as a giraffe’s long neck.  

They lean on the thick branches of a tree

as their pink cotton candy petals blossom in the moonlight.
