My Favorite things
I would take the blinding light coming from Saturn high up in space,
the sound of a baby’s laughter floating in the park,
the rain pouring on your tent in a middle of a field.
I would take the smell of newborn baby,
I would take the taste of grilled sausages on a hot summers’ day,
I would take the sound of a Conker falling of a palm tree in the Maldives.
I would take the sound of a crying baby in their crib settling down for the night,
and the sound of crutching brown leaves in winter,
the sound of sharpest on paper.
I would take the taste of dark chocolate out of the sweet compared,
and the taste of pumpkin pie from Halloween,
and candy floss that’s melts on your tongue.
I would take the feel of baby chubby cheeks,
and the fell of sheep fur from the field,
and fluffy pajamas on cold nights.
