Jackson and the dragon

Jackson was reading his favourite book about dragons. Jackson loved dragons. Sadly, none of his friends believed that dragons were real and sometimes even laughed at him because he believed in them, despite this he was convinced  that dragons were real.

While he was reading , he turned onto page 6-which was the page that held his favourite illustration in the whole book-  a dragon was soaring across the page when it moved, it was flying towards the end of the page when out of nowhere, the dragon’s wings began to slide out the book. Then the scaled head; the cyan torso and then finally the multi coloured tail.

“ MUUMMMMMM!” Jackson called his mum to come upstairs. Click! His mum turned the doorknob.”Yes? WAIT WHAT IS THAT?!”his mum asked in a tempered voice.”Cmon, that thing is going to the zoo where it belongs.” His mother  replied to her own question. “Here you are.” His mum passed Jackson the cat carrier.

After an awkward 20 minute car ride they arrived at Banham Zoo, his mum speed walking towards an employee,( who turned out to be the manager) Jackson not far behind. “ Excuse me, we have a creature that I think you would have an interest in. We aren’t sure what it is but it apparently came out of one of my sons books.” Jackson’s mum explained, whilst tapping her foot on the stone pavement. “ I guess we can get it in an enclosure and will take care of it,” Replied the manager, taking the carrier from Jackson’s mother. Jackson and his mum walked back to the car and went home. That day Jackson’s favourite book was thrown in the bin. ‘ I suppose I don’t want any more of those dragons in my bedroom,’ Jackson said to himself.
