The waves crash as loud as thunder,

The water was like ghostly fragments of light,

The ship sways  from side to side,

but the boat of light will never die.

As the waves get rougher and rougher,

The boat sways faster and faster,

But the captain looks up at the moonlit sky

and knows the boat of light will never die.

The portholes are pale moons,

The sails are sheets of gold,

The angry sea throws itself onto the ship,

but the boat of light will never die.

The captain shouts in fear,

The crew pray to their god,

The glistening ship wants to surrender to the sea,

but the boat of light will never die.

The waves begin to calm down,

The gleaming sun comes out,

The ship floats gently into the harbour,

as the boat of light will never die.
