The special decision.

The hot topic right now is a debate if dragons should be let in our city. If you have not heard already the monstrous beasts want to invade the country, the government are now saying that they have a plan to tame them and lock them up. If you think this is a good idea read along.

Many people believe that dragons don’t do anything wrong but that’s incorrect they are the most destructive animals to live, if you want to carry on living like this then help us settle this stupid argument!

On the other hand, some people are saying if the dragons help and guard the country from goblin attacks then they may let them in but they are going to have to build a cave for them somewhere away from all the elderly people or children.

All this arguing is getting to people now and they want to settle this, if you agree with us help! The government need to be told that they cannot allow them to destroy this perfect country!

Discovering the future by Abbie

Storm noticed something, an object dangling down in the distance. It was a painting. Unusually, it was strangely appealing and intriguing for such an ancient looking portrait: it’s frame was ornate, bronze flowers intwined around dated metal rotting away; the figures were fading although their frowns and ghost-like eyes told a story like none other; the background was gloomy and the rigid edges of the wildly painted mountains spiked up and down – it was inviting Storm in. She wandered towards the captivating painting; it was irresistible.

A mysterious figure emerged from the dark outskirts of the shop, revealing his face from under his mask – which to him was like the escape from reality. “I see you’ve discovered my painting,” he wondered curiously if she was the one, the special one. He was hesitant at first but eventually edged forwards closer to Storm,”Do you like it?”

Reluctantly, Storm replied, hoping it wasn’t a terrific trap that would embarrass her. She was courageous, she thought, so she tightened her knuckles and stood sturdily whilst struggling to keep focus on the man and maintain a smile. “Yes very much, it is very… intriguing and… interesting.” Well I’m not lying, she said to herself, I was drawn to it.

The Flower Unicorn

The flower unicorn, who dislikes squirrels with a passion, can be found in dark damp caves.

What does the flower unicorn look like?

Flower unicorns have a short, dusty-pink coat and a smooth, black mane as dark as ink. Interestingly, the hooves, irises and tail are the same inky-black colour as the mane. Many people get the flower unicorn confused with the love-sick unicorn. However, you should not be fooled. They are very, very similar in appearance with the same inky-black mane, tail and hooves but the love-sick unicorn has beautiful, multi-coloured irises, which appear to be a kaleidoscope.

What does the flower unicorn like (and dislike)?

The flower unicorn has many things that it likes and just as many things that it dislikes. Some of the more well-known things that she likes are flowers and crunchy leaves. However, not many people know that dark damp caves (which is where they can most commonly be found) and cold weather. Surprisingly, flower unicorns dislike overly-warm weather and dirty water. She also dislikes unicorns who consider themselves to have a ‘perfect’ life (yes, these do exist).

The Door of Possibilities by Abbie L

A door is two-sided,
Making endless decisions left and right,
A crucial life or death situation.

A door is isolation,
Locked on either side no way out,
Quarantined and blocked from reality,
A consequence of disobedience.

A door is a portal to a distant world.
Somewhere were emotions run wild,
A stretching tunnel to the unknown,
A place where you may discover the unexplored.

A door is a new beginning,
Disclosure from the past,
A resolution and a new chapter,
Open if you dare, your decisions choose your fate.

A door is your past,
Sins washed away into the void,
Emotions mixed like a tangled spider web,
Beware, bad decisions detected, reveal if you can handle the pressure.

The Eye of Emptiness by Abbie L

Go and open the hatch of happiness.
Maybe you’ll discover a tunnel of regret blocked up with past decisions,
a lonely tree drooping over a pit of disaster
or an awaiting adventure leading to death.

Go and open the curtains of the cursed.
Maybe you’ll hear the heart-wrenching screams of the souls left to die,
the shifting of the stretching shadows
or a caged bird chirping like prisoners of war.

Go and open the drawer of diligence.
Maybe you’ll smell the burning of dead bodies sleeping like lions,
a gate of greed
or a betrayal of a disguised devil.

Go and open the eye of emptiness.
Maybe you’ll touch the key to unlock your creative future,
a vault filled with piles of riches
or a caring friend there to help you in dark times.

I have never visited an amusement park…

I have never climbed the tallest mountain

But I have scrambled up a rock climbing wall.

I have never visited an amusement park

But I have been on the eye in London.

I have never seen the queen

But I have played monopoly at my nanny’s house.

I have never climbed the Eiffertower

But I have seen Big Ben.

I want to paint….

I want to paint…..

I want to paint a blue  bird chirping in the tree,

a black bumble bee stinging a girls arm,

and a happy hippo bathing in a swamp,

I want to paint

a devious donut who confronted its enemy,

an evil egg destroying cars and people,

While the shimmering golden daffodil is showing off,

I want to paint the taste of juicy red strawberries being eaten while my taste buds tickle,

I want to paint the smell of burning fire crackling in the night like fireworks exploding across the sky.

I want to paint this whole poem.

I want to paint…

I want to paint the sweet summer morning with the glistening pink moon which is as fresh as a blossom tree but when you look up at the beautiful blossom petals falling from the subtle moon.

I want to paint the tweeting birds in the morning chirping away day and night. I want to paint the taste of a hot chocolate in a fancy delightful cafe on a cold winter morning with warm, melted marshmallows. I want to paint the fashion of the famous.

I want to paint the end of this poem.

I want to paint…

I want to paint,

A field, basking in the summer sunlight, filled with beautiful, colourful flowers of all shapes and sizes;

The taste of scarlet strawberries, making my taste buds tickle;

The sound of music, gentle and soft in my ears.

I want to paint,

A black cat, it’s fur as dark as the night sky, specks of glitter buried deep in it’s soft, silky fur, like twinkling stars;

A dragon, hiding away in his cave, waiting on sunset to leave his damp hideaway;

The sound of sizzling sausages, slowly turning over and over in a warm frying pan.

I want to paint,

The lovely, luscious grass in the centre of the park, still damp from the morning dew;

The scent of a crackling, smoking bonfire, burning as bright as the sun

The brown eye in the centre of a sunflower, bright yellow petals surrounding it like smooth, soft hair.

I want to paint,

The impossibility of two magnets, leaping towards each other like they had been waiting years upon years to finally meet;

A splendid, sensational smile on the stormy face of a young boy;

The horizon, with the sun slowly setting, making the sea glitter just like the stars who were begging to come out.

I want to paint the very end of this poem.

The peace dragon

The peace dragon is a one of a kind species as there is only 2 of them. These dragons have been spotted on several occasions but they all link. Every time the peace dragon has shown up, it has been said there was always conflict in that place then all of sudden the peace dragon disappeared and every sign of violence or a quarray went too. These dragons have now got the nickname of Harmony and Melody for helping to end conflict and violence These dragons are now cherished and celebrated throughout the world.
