I’ve never …

I’ve never eaten clams while surfing in America,

but I have picked pears off my grandad’s tree.

I’ve never been to Canada for a week,

but i have travelled to Colchester zoo.

I’ve never swam with dolphins free in the sea,

but I have paddled with minnows in Santon Downham.

I’ve never experienced rock climbing,

but I have tried Clip n’ Climb in Cambridge.

I’ve never tasted beef from my dads kitchen,

but I have devoured a portion of fish and chips at the Seaside.

I’ve never played football at Liverpool Anfield Stadium,

but I have taken part in badminton at Forest Academy.

question poem

What are loud? A boat’s horn, a human’s shout and the sea side.

What are quiet? Being alone, a broken spider’s web and a museum.

What are soft? A Squishee, a silky bed sheet and a snail shell.

What are hard? A brick, a break up and a fall out with your best friend.

What are hot? Turkey, the sun and ribs of the BBQ.

What are cold? An ice block, Uranus and Antarctica.

What are smooth? A baby’s bum, a panther’s black fur and my grandad’s old rug

What are rough? A horse’s mane, a pine cone and a coconut.

adventure 1

Finally, they were ready to leave.

Suddenly, just after they turned the doorknob a chipmunk ran in with an ancient letter to warn them that the Gorm was not far away and they were going to attack at any time soon. The letter warned that the Gorm would  be at Wildlife warren within two to three hours. The rabbits knew this was not going to end well. The old and ancient tunnels had been built years ago. There is no way that they would hold a raid from the gruesome Gorm.

And so it was, the three little rabbits Pheoby, Parker and Paxton left their home to set off on an adventure. Although the journey to a safe new home was going to take many hours and lots of hard work, they knew they could do it. First they would have to go through Grassy Growth filled with crickets, then face their fears with the Haunted Horrors Castle . After that, they will go through the stormy shelter then to the sharp ,crystal cliffs. Next, they will go up the visiouse volcano and last but not least they will go in the chameleon caves to find their way out.

Pheoby knew that they would be safe because they were approaching the vicious volcano. The Gorm can not follow them through the volcano simply because the heat would be too much, their iron would melt and also burn their skin . This means they will have to go around the volcano and it will take longer.Long ago Their mother gave them an old map so that they can find shortcuts and get to the safe place quicker.

Desperately holding onto the ancient map, scared to let the sight of a bird to see it, the siblings make their way to the vicious volcano.

But to get over the volcano you have to walk across the wobbly bridge .Parker had been scared of this bridge for many years . While he was walking along he squeezed his younger brother’s hand. Lava was bubbling up and he knew the volcano was going to blow. They ran as fast as they could and when he got over he couldn’t have felt happier.

As they walked down the steep volcano, trying not to slip, they talked about where they should sleep tonight. They looked at the map while stopped on the rock at the edge of the volcano. All they could find was some mountains that were called Crystal Cliffs.

That afternoon the rabbits found a little and secure hut buried in the icy snow. Later that night they were sitting down at the teak wood table feasting on hazelnut soup, roasted radishes and blackberry bread and on the side were oat cakes for a midnight snack. After dinner they sat down and started to drift off.

Paxton and Pheoby fell asleep as quick as lightning but for Parker it was a bit harder, every time he closed his eyes he had a terrifying sight of the Gorm getting closer and closer to him. When would they ever be safe?

Chapter 2

The sun was rising and filling the Crystal Cliffs with a ruby-red beam of light when suddenly Parker awoke with a terrifying jolt. There was a scratching noise at the door. A small-eyed beast peaked through the mailbox .Parker let out a sigh of relief as he opened the door to a Chipmunk, who gave him another letter to remind them that the Gorm were still following them. Parker checked the map and scrambled out of the door with his siblings. There was no time to sit around.

As they jumped from one icy rock to another, Paxton’s mind wouldn’t stop racing. All he could think about was being trapped by the Gorm. They couldn’t stop now. They had to keep moving forward.

Several hours later, the fearsome troupe were close to the Haunted Horrors castle although they had to crawl for the last few minutes just in case the Gorm had caught up with them. As they wandered in they felt a shiver run through their little bodies. They took a few more steps into the castle and realised that every picture with eyes was following them. The trio looked around some more and could see silky, sticky spider webs with a cluster of hairy spiders. They looked to their left and saw a group of hazelnut coloured skulls and skeletons.

On the ceiling they saw a colony of bats and dragon shells. Suddenly they noticed a table in the corner of the room, they went over to see what was on it. They jumped back, there was a knife with spots of blood, a candle still burning, a jar of blood, a jar of eyes and a jar of wagging tails. There was also a pick axe so they picked it up so they could use it if anything got in their way. As they moved forward, creepy sounds were coming from the walls, like knives chattering and behind them they could hear footsteps along the creaking floor boards. They could also hear the breath of a ghost, screams for help and the never ending cracking of hands but the worst one was the sound of dolls singing songs as if they were stuck in their minds.

The  troupe ran as fast as they could. They knew a threat was coming and hid in a cupboard. Luckily there was a whole in the door to look through. Unexpectedly, they saw a swarm of bats fly through the never ending hallway. They had to find a way to get out of here.

Phoebe noticed a pattern every few metres in the hallway. There were unlocked doors to hide in. so could run through the hallway and sneak into the doors so that the bats couldn’t see them.

I want to paint

I want to paint-

the sweet smell of grass that blows in the whining wind, making my hair flow behind me,

the round red monkey bars letting me swing whilst I feel fresh and free,

the triangle topped roundabout spinning me fast ,while holding on tight to the blistering blue rope,

the squeaking sound of silver chains, squeaking with each swift swing

and the small sized spider web that circles half of the park.

I want to paint-

my dearest friend, who is as funny as a clown, pulling faces all the time,

her lego pieces strewn across the room like a scattering of leaves under my feet,

her beautiful brown hair on her head, like a horses mane blowing in the wind,

and her lights glowing up stairs like neon stars in the dark blue sky.

I want to paint the sour taste of lemons making my teeth tickle.

I want to paint the smell of flowers blooming from an orchard.

I want to paint the sound of chicks chirping in the midday sun.

I want to paint the memory of grandad’s wise words and his joyful laugh.

I want to paint the impossibility of snails becoming famous on instagram.

I want to paint the way we have to distance in shops while being in covid 19.

I want to paint the end of this poem.
