An Oak Tree Encased

An Oak Tree Encased

What are lonely? An oak tree encased in a Misty horizon, a single-custard daffodil in a farmers field and the slimy snail creeping across the cold patio

What are crowded? A shop with many sales, fans surrounding the idols sand a busy que on a Sunday evening.

What is empty? a hallow vase that lost its flowers, a broken heart which sobs in fear and the ghostly, haunted house that has been abandoned by its owner.

What is full? An overfilled mug of steaming-hot water and my stomach when my mother forces me to eat my left-overs.

What is easy? My 8 year-old sisters homework and riding a bike down a bumpy-grassy field.

What is hard? My 13 year old cousins division sums, doing press-ups with one hand and climbing up Mount Everest with spin secure safety.

Taste of Sunlight

The taste of sunlight

I have never…

seen a fiery phoenix zooming across the sky but I have seen a squawking charcoal-black crow with it’s feathers ablaze.

tasted the tangy flavour of a fresh, pure lemon but I have tried the flakey taste of chocolate.

juggled with all the astronomy planets but I have tried it with 3 circular balls.

I’ve never caught the horizon flame of a fuming, furious fire but I have blew out the flashing fire on a rusty barbecue  stove.

Heard a  deafening roar of a tiger lurking in the shadows but I have heard a loud bark of a faithful, exuberant dog.

Caught a tropical monsoon in my hand but I have caught a delicate, rare moth

ate berries and cream with an anaconda but I have consumed a huge chunk of magnum.

ridden a glimmering rainbow to its pot of gold.
