Chapter 3
All day, Anna sat and looked miserable but Romeo looked for a way out. Anna was crying so hard that her evil aunt could hear her. Her evil aunt said, “Will you be quiet?” and then Romeo found an axe and tried to escape but it didn’t work.
Worried, he tried to find a way out so he tried to shout for help but no one could hear him, not even a bird, so he tried again and again but eventually he gave up. He tried to find a bad floor board but there was none.
Every couple of minutes, Romeo turned and shouted at Anna. He was getting angrier and angrier because Anna wasn’t helping at all. “Why are you not helping me at all?” shouted Romeo.
“Because we’re gonna be stuck here forever and ever,” screamed Anna, “There is no point!”
“Yes there is, you don’t know okay, I don’t want to be here as much as you do”.
Exasperated, he turned around and yet again Anna was just sitting there, her eyes closed, huddled in a corner. “Is it bad that we’re still here?” mumbled Anna. “There is no way out.”
Just as Romeo was falling asleep, he heard a quiet meow from outside the small window. He opened his eyes and looked out of the window. It was Zoe looking for him. “Zoe!” Romeo exclaimed, overjoyed to see the small mechanimal again. Leaping up onto the window ledge, Zoe pawed at the window. Romeo rushed to open the window, letting Zoe into the room. Noticing Zoe seemed to be moving slowly, Romeo gave her some wind ups to keep her going.
When she got recharged, Zoe dropped the small, old rusty key from her tiny mouth into the palm of his hand. “It is time to get out of here,” whispered Zoe.
Cautiously, Anna put the key into the lock, and winced as it let out a loud squeak as it turned. For one long moment, no one said anything as the old, rusty door drifted open on loud, squeaky hinges. The two children peeked outside as the light shined on their faces. Hesitantly, they crept out of the basement and looked around. A short staircase led up to a wide open field. Seeing no one around they ran for it, dashing across the field, and away from the horrible old basement.

Something Is crawling up the side of the skyship’s wooden hull! Ty, whose face pales, shrinks back and ducked down behind the tiller but Mariana rushes to the edge and Is peer into the gloom below. She can just make out something or somebody scrabbled up the side of the ship. It is quite small and had green eyes. It pauses and stares back up at her. “It’s a baby dragon,” she is calling, “and it’s hurt.” Mariana, whose brow frowns with concentration, Is going to reach down to grip its outstretched paw and pulls it onto the deck. “It will be hurt in the storm.”
The dragonlet is shivering with cold and whimpered. Ty dashes off to fetch a ship’s blanket, wondering anxiously if the dragonlet’s mother was pleased to know that they would be helped her baby. Mariana will speak calmly to the baby, hoping that Captain O’Shea will not take a dim view of what they has done!
Positive teacher
