Barry stared at the burger. Outside the dirty window, a wind swept across the abandoned town. Cars purred by and on the promenade, ripped papers tumbled along, driven by the wind. The sea rolled up the polluted beach, crashing against the jagged rocks that fringed the filthy shoreline.

As soon as the storm blew, the bus stopped. The old man staggered while he made his way  to the house. He sat down at the table and waited for them. After half an hour, they finally arrived. Although it was cold outside, they still cleared out the tree that blew onto the avenue.

Tom waited impatiently as the snow fell. The phone rang in the flat. He picked it up and listened as he crossed the room. After that, he picked up the suitcase, opened the door, and went outside. Immediately, he jumped into the car and started it.

‘Outside’ and ‘Inside’

To the west, the thunder struck onto the flooded city.

To the east, the laughter echoed as a humorous show was being played.

Before, the sun rays shone down onto the hills.

After, the light faded with the dark February mornings.

Outside, a January frost weaved its way through the narrow streets.

Inside, the children joyfully ate fish and chips.

Above, the boats gracefully sailed across the vast sea.

Below, the hangry krakens were preparing an attack.

To the south, the cool water flows and freezes in the wind.

To the north, the cosy huskies trotted silently.

The new teacher

As soon as innocent-faced Miss Honey walked into class Blossom, the familiar room immediately appeared to turn bright.She was thin with a pleasant look rather like a small kitten. ‘Settle down children, ’ said the new teacher, ‘I am not used to being angry.’
