My very busy life (by Harper)

My name is Harper and I have a very busy life

I go out every day to guard my territory, I have a very busy life

I am treated with great respect by my humans, I have a very busy life

I scare other dogs off every day, I have a very busy life

as you can see I have a very very very very very busy life!

by Harper the border terrier.

Ten delicate things

The feather of a multicoloured parakeet

the flower of a blossoming cherry tree

the water from a unpolluted turquoise lagoon

the bark from a (smooth) growing oak tree

the rays that the sun delivers to the desert

the silky seabed sand from a creature infested coral reef

the brightness from a untouched (cloud wise) vibrant sky

the crunch from a autumn falling leaf

the whiteness from a white rain-filled cloud

a piece of exotic rain that falls to the Congo rainforest

10 delicate things

A toenail of a giant

The tail of a dragonfly

The wings of a butterfly

A eye of a tadpole

A single hair on a toe

A horn of a dragon

The arm of a fairy

The scab of a leg

A golden yellow leaf

A scarab beetle covered in sand

Ten Delicate Things

. The fire of a Phoenix feather floating like a wistful leaf in the wind

. The shard of a hundred old vase looked after by the Romans

. A shed of fur from my loved cat that passed away

. The twinkle of a shimmering star shining in the night

. The beads of my best friends bracelet

. A toenail of a giant

. The shimmer of my shell that sits on my bathroom shelf whispering the sound of the sea

. The flower blooming of a sweet cherry tree

. The sweetness of  honey so sickerly and sweet

. The silky Cotten feel of a lambs wooly coat

Thing not needed in a poem

The table with a chair,

the musician with a flute,

the man with a pear,

the crook with some loot.

A flip of a book,

a flower in a field ,

the wire with the hook,

the soldier with a shield.

The clock going tick,

my hand moving quick,

a dog’s lick,

the boy being slick.

The cat I pet,

isn’t a stray,

I think I will get,

a poem today.
