My Sadness

My sadness is made from –

the cloud’s tears,

the loss of loved ones,

the despair that people endure,

the pain Mother Nature encounters,

and the thought of no family.

I found it –

caged inside a box of ugly emotions no one wants to see,

squeezed inside a dungeon of forgotten feelings,

next to a person who  has held it in for too long,

where there’s no joy, only frowns.

Sadness can –

extinguish every piece of happiness within you,

control your mind and movement,

evolve into anger that makes you do horrible things,

take away your confidence and courage,

open a pathway to cruelty.

If I lost sadness –

I may have a brilliant life.

The world of similes

The rose was

as red as blood

like Sleeping Beauty’s finger.

Doctor’s Nightmare

The night is

as dark as revenge

like a sweet taste of vengeance.

A Villain’s Delight

Sadness is

as painful as wounds

like a two-faced friend.

Depression’s Nightmare

The snake’s glare is

as sharp as blades

like a piercing pain.

Snake’s Stare

A tiger’s posture is

as graceful as a swan

like a beautiful balance.
