                                                       The butter-wasp

Oddly , the lesser spotted butter-wasp is a mix of butterfly and wasp . It mainly feeds on nectar and drinks water. 

If you were  to touch it, it wouldn’t  sting! If you attempted to get closer  or feel  a butter-wasp it would just hover away from you . 

On its back it has odd patterns such as dots , scientists believe its  different for every individual butter-wasp , mostly it represents its personality .

As the patterns  will change every Winter it means their age changes so if you counted the patterns on them it would be there age!!!In Spring there patterns disappear so they have time to grow more. they will come back in … June,July,August,September,October,November and December so they can survive in chilly months .
