The Silent Thunder Part 3

Maxwell ran for his life he screamed and called out for Marietta but then he noticed that she wasn’t beside him he looked back and saw Marietta calling out. The leopard sat back on its haunches and started batting its tail on the floor. Next it revealed the most luxurious wings like the ones of a majestic eagle. Maxwell started running back. was it going to attack?  But at that moment Marietta climbed onto the leopard’s back. Its wings spread, the leopard-eagle creature started flapping it wings. He ran to catch up and jumped. His sister grabbed his hand had and hauled him up. They flew around on her back for what seemed like hours. They saw the island from above and flew, dangerously close, to the top of the vile volcano that seamed to be filled with melted hot caramel instead of lava!

Finally, they landed. It was a sunset that looked like an oil-pastel painting that had been propped up in front of them. As Marietta flopped against Maxwell she wondered, would they ever find their parents? Were they even on this island?

The next few days consisted of Marietta and the leopard-eagle, which they later named Felicity, racing across the beach.  Maxwell whittled sticks, made fires and collected materials to bring on the journey they were about to make. The days were filled with lots of laughter and joy.

the silent thunder part 2

Splash! They fell into the sea. Marietta and Maxwell swam to the shore out of breath. It was cold, salty and there was seaweed everywhere. The island was warm, in an uncomfortable way. Maxwell could smell three things: the salt in the sea, the scent of an unknown fruit quite possibly poisonous and the smell of seaweed on wet rocks at the seaside as they slumped down on the sand.

Marietta stared round from where she was sitting. In front of her was a jungle with a battered old sign labelling it the Forest of Fears. To the left of them there was a massive tree, ten times as tall as the other palm trees around it and five times as wide as an average sized family sized car. In the distance she could hear the rushing of a river. On the right there was a signpost, tall and clear, made of rusting metal. It was marked ‘The Send Me Signpost’ with seven arrows pointing in different directions: one straight forward labelled The Forest of Fears, one to their right saying The Tree of Tantrums and one pointing to the distant sound identifying it as the River of Remedies. Another sign was pointing into the forest diagonally left calling, whatever it was, The Wishing Well of Wealth and finally, one pointing diagonally up over the canopy of trees to a distant volcano labelled The Vile Volcano.

Half an hour later the two children found themselves finishing making their beds out of banana leaves, taking out the everlasting lunch box and building the frame of a fire pulled out their mother’s old-fashioned magnifying glass. This was the only thing she had left for them, ready to cast the sun’s light through it. Marietta passed the magnifying glass to Maxwell as he was better at using it. He held it up to the sun, angled it towards the pile of logs and set it alight. They both settled down. The sun was setting and as they were both really tired they said their good nights. Just as Marietta lay down, there was a rustle…then another one. ROAR! a cheetah, golden and slick, jumped out. Teeth bared. Ready to bite!

I have never befriend a yeti

I have never befriend a yeti

I have never tasted the sweet’s from the magical sweet shop in fairy land , but I have nibbled bits of sweet flower fudge  from the market in Truro.

I have never befriend a yeti , but I have stroked the crazy cockapoo next door.

I have never touched the soft fairy dust that fairy’s sprinkle on flowers to make them grow , but  I have felt the soft velvet dress I once wore to dinner at a hotel

I have never seen the beautiful tooth fairy as twinkly  as a sequinned star flying across my garden , but I have caught a glimps of an black and brown owl.

I have never captured a baby green and pink spotted dragon ,

but I have caught a brown baby newt

I Have never ridden on a unicorns back , but I have galloped on a horse from one end of the playground to the other

I’ve never befriended Yeti

I want to paint

I want to paint a tiger’s sleek, black stripes on a sunset orange coat hiding in the leaves of the Amazon waiting for its pray to get near.

I want to paint an elephant’s long, wrinkled trunk squirting soothing water into the air splashing the lush, green plants and startling the birds in the trees.

I want to paint a toucan’s bright, vibrant beak carving through the trees like a saw leaving clouds of dust high up in the canopy.

Should dragons be hunted or not?

This is a hot topic in politics. Whether dragons should be hunted or not. There have been valid arguments on each side.

A few people against the idea said, “These beasts are a danger to society and will be the end of us all.” as they tend to attach moving objects. Another resident said, “they are loyal pets and deserve a peaceful life.” This argument is the top of debate as both sides have a good points and arguments.

More people are on the side of these creatures not being hunted as they are already nearing being listed as an endangered species. As well as them being a loyal pet and a brilliant new addition to the family.

My opinion is let these majestic creatures live in peace will all of us. As we are already pushing creature to extinction so why make us more of a monster.

Moon Star Dragon

This is one of the lesser known types of dragon. These dragons are very elusive and not much is known about them.

Moon Star dragons are a very spectacular type of dragon. They are 60 cm long and they are stubborn creatures. . Hence their stubborn and elusive personality they are quite hard to train.

Their body is a  white with speckled powder blue, violet and carnation or in rare cases they can be a raven black with speckled iris, plum and white. They have a oval shaped spine. More commonly their eyes are iris but they can be an ash colour.

Commonly, these species like to come out at night meaning they are nocturnal. They do this since they  blend in to the moon, but in rare occasions this dragon has been seen hiding in midday hiding in clouds. They feed on cod, salmon and rodents.

I hope this helps you find more about the Moon Star dragons. If you try and train this dragon be careful the have to 2 layers of teeth.

The emerald eyes

Several days of foraging and building later the Eagle eye was up in the sky. They had found the captain and a group of 10 to 20 adult and children .

Yupa was standing at a window, waiting to see Grey stock come in to view even though pointless because a thick fog had engulfed the whole ship. As he turned he saw a flash of emerald green light.  “SHEETA!!!” he shrieked. With no second thought Sheeta was at his. What had happen. a shiver went down their spine, their breathing quickened. At the side of the ship where a pair of emerald green eyes.
