The forest of lost souls…

Chapter 3

Something was in danger Leo didn’t know who, he looked around to tell Darrel but she wasn’t there, “Darrel!” “where are you”. She was nowhere to be found. Leo didn’t know what to do, he wanted to go find his sister but he didn’t want to risk getting lost and never finding her. Leo had a good long think, in the end he decided to leave a note for the crew in case they came back.

To the captain and crew

I’m very sorry but Darrel has been taken by someone or something. I’ve gone to look for her but I don’t know if either of us will come back. I’ve left two ruck sacks full of food and all the equipment you need.

Yours sincerely

Leo

So, Leo set off on the journey, He first climbed up the Deadly Peak then down across the Bridge of Doom with a river of bubbling 1,200 degrees acid underneath. He ran through the Forest of Lost Souls, but still no sign of Darrel, he looked around the whole island feeling annoyed and sad that his only bit of family was gone. The sun started to set, the moon was glistening above him so he slumped by an ancient tree and started to doze off. Out of the blue he heard noises, noises that sounded like Darrel. “Leo!” shouted Darrel from the distance. He sprung to his feet and ran like a panther trying to catch its prey until the sound led to a cave, a pitch-black cave. The noise continued. Leo crept deeper into the cave as the noise became clearer and then he saw her. She was huddled up in the corner of the cave in a colossal nest. They dashed out of the cave through the Forest of Lost Souls, over the bridge and up the deadly peak.

Lighting strike

Lightning

You’ve probably been on an airship when the sky is sapphire blue and the light breeze just skimming your face. Remember how it feels the wind rushing through your hair and making you feel like you have no weight on your hands, to see the jade coloured sea and towns far below, to feel totally free of every day life.

I bet you’ve enjoyed long holiday flights across glistening bays. Journeys to see your distant relatives, knowing that once you get you will be able to relax for several weeks.

But you should also try a trip when the winter winds come at you like knives piercing through your frosty cheeks, with the clouds darkening, for that is another matter. When the thunder explodes in the sky booming like you’ve just awoken a giant from its long winter nap and lighting bolts strike through the air threatening to take your airship down. That’s when the airship ride is not so much fun…

Chapter 1

Lighting Strike

“Hoist the sails,” said Darrel, the storm was getting bigger by the second they thought it was never going to end until…

One sunlit Saturday Darrel (who was unbelievably good at building) and Leo (who was clever at planning), had the idea to build a sky ship, something no one has ever seen before, something out of this world. When they finally finished (which was about 3 months later) they started to get the engine working and everything else. All they needed to do now was press the button and send it into the air. They climbed on, got in their seats and carefully pressed the button. Whoosh, they flew into the air second by second, higher and higher until they were above the clouds with the emerald sea below, the sky sapphire blue above them. The clouds were like a blanket and they began to feel totally free of everyday life.

Until the clouds were getting darker the sea started to churned, boom a strike of lighting hit the ship they started to panic. luckily, they managed to stay in the sky but the sky ship couldn’t hold up much longer. it took them of course by miles.

At that moment, the shrieking devils struck. Leo saw a whole group of them streak out of a storm cloud and fire darted toward the lighting strike. Captain Truffle rocked the boat to the side just avoiding disaster and in one swift movement drove the engines as hard as he could.

For a moment, the devils disappeared as Darrel steered the Lighting Strike into a huge patch of storm clouds to hide. Thunder growled around them electricity crackled. Suddenly the engines failed and they crashed onto a deserted island.

The Blood Dragon

The Blood Dragon

The Dragon’s fiery, fierce flame red eyes

stare into my soul like it’s trying to find out everything about me.

Its greening, golden skin rough as gravel freshly laid out on the ground and as dry as the Sahara Desert.

Its sharp lined jaws tighten to the bones of its body

whilst folds hang off like a tree at the edge of a cliff.

The teeth of the roaring dragon like a decaying corpse lying on the floor,

Its tongue stained with blood and small bones,

Its scales all bubbled up like a potion in a witch’s cauldron.

The lingering, scuffed wings fold over its spiny, sharp back whilst thrashing through the air.

The murderous excruciating sharp talons tearing through your skin

Taking every last breath away.

Then you hear the ear-piercing, booming sound of the dragons ROAR…

Twilight

Twilight

You are the soft peaceful clouds under

The vibrant twilight skies,

You are the lost sun hidden behind

The moon.

You are a plane drifting slowly

Whilst vanishing into the moon light sky.

You are a breeze of wind elegantly swishing in and out of the moon.

You are the sea under the elegantly beautiful, sunset.

You are the waves that suffers surf on.

You are playground for young lovers

Strolling hand in hand on the beach.

You are one in a million!
