Chapter 1-Goodbye Forever!

This morning, a turaco delivered a message,the turaco pecked on the window.Mopsy jumped up and raced to the window.She took the letter and dived upstairs and gave Pip the letter.Pip read the anonymous letter, he ran up to hs mum and let his mum read it.She read it outloud “To Pip and family we are so sorry to inform you that the Gorm is back you need to evacuate ASAP”

So three young rabbits went upstairs miserably.They entered the room and went straight to their wardrobe and packed their clothes then they went to the kitchen and gathered loads of water and food.Then they went to the secret cupboard and gathered weapons.They couldn’t forget the map.They needed that map.The rabbits went downstairs and said “Goodbye mother we love you”They went upstairs and went to bed so that they could set off nice and early the next morning.

They ran upstairs and jumped in their beds.Mommy rabbit hopped up the stairs to put Cottontail to bed.She went into Pip and Mopsies room and said “Goodnight my sweet babies I love you”.

It was the next morning, Pip Mopsy and Cottontail went downstairs and ate their breakfast.They went into the porch and grabbed their bags  and left. They didn’t have to say bye to their mother since they said bye to her the night before and off they went.They had been walking for 2 hours scanning the map.Finally they found their destination they entered the tunnel and all they could see and smell was the damp all on the wall and fairy lights.Because of the smell they had to leave as it made them feel sick.”WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE”! they blasted.

They came out of the tunnel and heard a twig snap .They turned their heads ever so slightly they shook their heads thinking it was nothing.They found a shelter for the night since Cottontail was tired.Pip opened his eyes after a nap due to breathing on his face.There he saw it it was the Gorm……….

and saw something he didn’t want to see.It was a lair filled with pictures……….

Chapter 2- Run as fast as you can!

“After seeing this terrifying creature, we need to find somewhere to stay”, says Mopsy.After walking for an hour, they saw  an abandoned log cabin near by.They start to make themselves at home.Out of the blue, the windows were opening and shutting. They turn around and see nothing.Out of the corner of their eye, they saw the GORM!! They dash out of the cabin as fast as they can.

They finally got away from this monstrous creature,so they walked slowly trying to catch their breath and catch sight of an old rabbit lady.She spotted the 3 little rabbits walking, and said “hello dears do you want to come in and have refreshments” ? Pip says no to Mopsy and Cottontail. Mopsy thought they should ,since they needed to get inside and in the warm.”Fine” exhales Pip.The old lady rabbit brought them radishes. The rabbits sat back and 

relaxed, whilst watching Peter rabbit. “Zzzzzz” and they were asleep.

Pip woke up shivering, since he was icy cold.He heard the Gorm speaking, so Pip had no choice, but to speak to the monstrous Gorm.

“ W..w..what happened?”Pip stuttered.

“ Well do you want a story or just a summary”Spoke the Gorm

“Summary please and be quick”Said Pip.

“Ok then,well I got some random lady to poison you then I came and got you.”smirked the Gorm.

All pip could see, was trees and got scared.The Gorm, took off the paper bag from Podkins head.Finally, the one eared rabbit could see again.Podkin gets taken into the Gorms lair, and saw something he didn’t want to see.It was a lair filled with pictures……….

Chapter 3-The escape

The room smelled disgusting.All he could smell was rotten eggs.”Yuck!” shouted Pip.In the background there was loud rock band music,so that nobody could hear Pip crying for help.Because of the smell,Pip could taste the rotten eggs inside his mouth.Suddenly,Pip turned around since he heard a loud bang.He saw a lot of pictures of his family.When he moved his arms, there was a loud shout “ahhhhhhhhhh”

The metal chains ripped some of his skin off.He hated that prison, it was stinky and loud.

All of a sudden, Pip heard footsteps; it wasn’t heavy so it couldn’t have been the Gorm.  Then he heard “Pip” “Pip”It was as loud as  a firework. It was Mopsy and Cottontail. They were able to free Pip. “How did you get me out?” Pip asked whilst hugging his family. “Come on let’s go home,” Pip exclaimed.They finnaly

got home. “MOM!” they shouted whilst running up to her to give her a hug.“ I’m sorry but we need to move away.” says their  Mom. Then they were gone……

Chapter 4 

I try to drag Lilly out but the snakemanders body is covering the way out.The diamond egg was glowing. It was so bright it almost blinded me. The snakemander hisses.        “ Your ok,” Lilly whispers “ I’m not here to hurt you.” I can tell Lilly was trying to hide her fear.

The snakemander turns his head quickly.The snakemanders eyes were bright red. It lets out a whimper.” Don’t be scared we won’t hurt you.” says Lilly being reassuring. I turn and look at Lilly. She looks back at me.She holds out her arms.The snakemander goes closer to Lilly. Every movement she makes he copies.

“OK follow me” says Lilly walking backwards to make sure the snakemander is following her. They get out of the cave and the snakemander tries to bow for her.

I sigh with relief.The snakemander goes back into its cave to keep the diamond egg safe.

It is dawn, I haven’t talked to Lilly at all.There is no noise at all other than the sound of the waves. “ We can’t keep being quiet. What is wrong? Asks Lilly. “ You put us both in danger just then anything could’ve happened. The snakemander could’ve killed us”.I shout. “But it didn’t.” Lilly exclaims. I roll my eyes. Lilly just goes on and on about how we can’t tell anyone. We come up with a plan. Some people know about the snakemander so we just need to tell everyone to keep them off the beach so he doesn’t get disturbed.

By the time we are almost back, we see Mandy setting up chairs out the front of The Steamin Mugs Cafe.We tell everyone we see about the snakemander and stick posters on every shop window and lampposts.At the end of the day, Lilly and I already given out 5000 posters. “ Do you think this will keep everyone off the beach?” asks Lilly. “ Hopefully I reply.

I look for my keys, to open up my Sweet Shop Galore, I get  all of the sweets and into the storage cupboard. . I install curtains to make it dark. “ What is this for?” asks Lilly. “ Wait and see.” I say.

I go out, back to where the snakemander lives. Lilly sneaks out and follows me. I catch a glimpse of Lilly. “ What are you doing here?” I shout. “ Wondering what you were doing,” she replies. “I’m getting the snakemander and its egg to my shop so that it is safe.” I exclaim.

They get to the end where the snakemander lives and sees a man. “ Umm… Hello!” Violet and I say at the same time. “Oh hello Lilly and Joy,” Says the anonymous man.” How do you know our names and who are you?” Questions Lilly. “ I made the snakemander. Have you not thought about how he attacked Lilly and is now being nice to her.Oh and my name is Lenny Reinhart. “That is my last name, are you my dad?”asks Lilly. “Yes,” says Lenny.

Later they talk.Our adventure isn’t over. It will go on.

Chapter 3 

Three days later, Lilly and I are still hiding in the storage room in my sweetshop. We sit cross legged because of how small the storage room is. There isn’t a lot of food, only sweets. The only thing that we could have is a sandwich and crisps. We take a few sips of our water, as it has to last us, however long we are in there. Outside is freezing,it is so cold it feels like being in a freezer. Whereas in the inside it is toasty and warm.I haven’t slept since the night Lilly knocked and smashed my window.But Lilly is being suspicious. I think she has a plan .“So I wasn’t going to say anything because I didn’t want you to get mad but I’ve been sneaking out to the beach and I think I know where IT lives.” says Lilly. I let out a sigh. 

Apparently, Lilly has been over at the beach alot. She claims to have seen a lot of slimy and gooey stuff like I saw at the abandoned school. “ Also, Joy, I was walking across the beach and I felt a round circle whilst walking on the sand. Maybe it was where the snakemander lives.”Lilly exclaims. “ Yeah maybe” I say. We explore some more and dig up some of the sand and found something that looked like an arm. Maybe it was one of the snakemander’s victim.

After we found the arm we panicked and left. We grab a coat and some weapons.I lock the windows and the doors and we head out. The wind is blowing; the sky is black.It was so quiet there was nobody anywhere for miles. Finally, we’re at the beach Lilly and I dig up all of the sand. We continue , well that was until I heard a shout. “ Over here!” shouts Lilly. There it was, the vent. Lilly goes to open it but I stop her.”We’ve got to be careful we don’t know if it is down there.” I say. I put my head on the vent hoping to hear the snakemander. Then I heard a hiss. That was when I knew it was down there. Quietly, I open the vent. I go down first, Lilly goes down after me.

I don’t know why I decided to come, I think to myself. Lilly turns her torch on. The walls are mouldy, the floors are sticky. We had two options on which to go, left or right.” Maybe we should split up.” Says Lilly. I shake my head. We turn right. We saw sand and Lilly says “ Let’s follow it and find the snakemander”. It’s almost as if she wants to die.

Lilly turns her torch off. The cave was dark, then there was  a drip.My heart is pounding.We walk the way where there was a trail of sand. Just as I start thinking there was nothing there I see a twinkle, it was a diamond egg. “Does it belong to the snakemander? Has it given birth?” I ask.

That was when I felt it.The feeling in my stomach I know we shouldn’t be here.Lilly goes to touch the egg. She picks it up.Then there was a sound.It was an alarm.Maybe it doesn’t belong to the snakemander, maybe it is somebody’s lair. “ Lets go” I shout so that she can hear me over the alarm. “ NO!” Lilly shouts back at me. I couldn’t just leave her there.I find where the alarm was and I smash it with my weapons. Suddenly there was a loud hiss. It does belong to the snakemander after all.But some stuff doesn’t add up. For example how was there an alarm the snakemander couldn’t do that. The snakemander comes slithering in. Lilly goes towards it but I step back…

Chapter 2

The strange girl, that is called Lilly, was shivering. I put a blanket over Lilly and get her a hot chocolate. “ Are you sure you saw it” I ask. “Yes it was really tall and hissed so loudly”.

Thirty minutes later, we hear the snake again and we run out of my shop. We search for a place to go. I turn my head and see an abandoned school. “ Over here,” I call. We run inside.Then we search for a vending machine because we are hungry and thirsty. The door slams…

“ What was that?” Lilly questions. “ Just the wind, it is about to storm after all”. I reply. “ I’ll go check it out.” I tell her. I go to walk down the stairs when I see slimy gooey stuff on the stairs. I hear Lilly scream.

There I saw it, the snakemander attacking Lilly. I throw food to the other side of the room so that the snakemander would go get it. I grab Lilly and run and the snakemander slithers away. We sit on the floor whilst I see if Lilly is okay. I start walking Lilly home and we hear the hissing again. It starts coming towards us then there is a gunshot. We turn around and the Snakemander isn’t moving.   “ Is he dead?” I ask “ Only for 10 minutes tops,” comes a strange voice.

Prologue

You’ve probably been to Cheerie-On-Sea. In summer time, made sand castles and pushed your siblings into the water.Or if your parents have nearly fallen asleep you bury them in the golden sand. You would’ve gone home exhausted because of how much fun you had in Cheerie-On-Sea. Well… it is that kind of place in the summertime.

But in the winter time the c and h have blown off of the sign and makes it eerie- on – sea. The sea, which is freezing cold, has frozen over.About 2 people visit but goes home after 5 minutes to be in the warm.You will start to get frostbite. Even the locals don’t go as it is way too cold. Some people say that they can hear slithering noises when they walk across the sand so they run off as fast as they can.

Chapter 1

My name is Joy Rancher. I work at sweet shop Galore opposite the pier.I’m the manager at Sweet shop Galore. In the summertime, my shop is packed with people buying candy floss and sweets. People say that I should get a new job as selling sweets must be boring but it isn’t , it is as amazing as it can be. There is a regular customer called Ava Cardo, she comes every day and we have a long talk. We’re always busy but in the winter not even Ava visits. There is maybe one person- if that.

I was packing up my store and was locking up when suddenly,there was a loud knock at the door : it was a strange girl shouting “ Help me“

I go to let her in but she smashes my door down. She looks desperate for help and has blue lips. She says “ Hide me please”

Before I continue with what happens next , there is a story about our town that you should know. It was such a long time ago I don’t think anyone remembers this story. It was a cold winter’s night when something rose from the sand. It was 100 foot tall and was slithering down the streets. In 1950, there was something called a Malamander that only came out on a cold winter’s night. Whereas with the one now, it is slimy and lives under the sand at the beach. It hisses so loudly people wake up wondering what the noise is. But when they looked it was gone. So  they just lock their doors.

Some people say it was just a cat and lots of other things until there was another winter’s night when it came out again but this time it was way scarier. I’ve heard it once or twice when it is dark.

“ Why do you need to hide?” I ask “ What’s happened?”

“ I’ve seen it” she cries “ The snake or whatever it is. “We need to hide!”

Yesterday, I woke up early and got ready. It got to 10am and I was late to meet Herbet. I had to meet him at 10:30 and it was a 35 minute walk. I was almost there. I then saw Herbet.

Finally I was walking down the steps to get onto the beach. Herbert shouted to me “ VIOLET come on” 

Herbert and I arranged to meet up because we were looking for something on the beach that had been buried a long time ago.

I left  Herbet at the beach whilst I went to get  Herbet and I some lunch. But then  I could hear someone shouting “ HELP HELP” 

It was Herbet shouting. I immediately ran as fast as a cheetah. There it was right behind him it was a weird creature attacking him. I wanted to help so badly but the creature was just staring at me. I didn’t know what to do so I just ran.
