Hard, soft, cold, warm, loud, quiet, fast and slow

What is hard? The weight of guilt, dry cement and sharpened steel.
What is soft? A feline's fur, the silk of China and a slipper.

What is cold? A snowflake on the icy lake and an ice-cream flake.
What is warm? A sheep's jumper and a hug.

What is loud? A dog's bark, a baby's wailing and an imagination's roar.
What is quiet? The scuttle of a spider, a whispered wish and a cat stalking the early bird.

What is fast? A cat's pounce and a bird's flutter.
What is slow? A snail and a single step.

Smaug

The greedy old Dragon,

A firedrake from the north,

Lives in the lonely mountain,

With his giant beady eyes,

Sleeps in his gold like a cot of treasure,

Stolen from the Dwarfs from the iron Hills.

 

His red scaly skin that’s rough like the toughest old rock,

With one lonely missing scale.

I have never

I have never done a backflip
but I have done a frontflip


I have never climbed mount Everest
but I have climbed an icy hill.


I have never wrestled with godzilla
but I have wrestled my dad.


I have never mopped the floor
but I have washed the dishes.

The war of a soldier

Charlie stared out into the cold mist there was a chill in the air he shivered he wasn’t just cold he was freezing fear was all he could think of.Night guard in the trenches was boring  he wanted to go on no man’s land but he would be shot.Suddenly  a bullet hit his helmet and it went flying.what was that he thought.

Matthew silently looked up at the sky the moon shone down.He was used to this.His baggy uniform blew in the wind.It was freezing.He levelled his gun and fired “BANG!!”.He heard a clank and went to investigate…

The grim reaper

Slowly I opened the door.A loud creaking sound came out.Just one look around told me I shouldn’t be here there were cobwebs everywhere and the walls were cracked.I heard pipes clunking.I looked at an old fire place suddenly the fire place lit up but it wasn’t red and yellow like normal it was green!Horrified I ran windows shattered behind me!That was when it happened…

Thunder struck the building and all the wallpaper ripped!A vague figure appeared at the end of the hallway.He looked as if he was made of shadows and his cloak of  cobwebs flowed in the wind.The figure floated towards me!I ran into a dark room.two bright red eyes appeared behind me…

The abandoned mine of Jack

Jack ran through the damp, gloomy passageways of Skully’s mine.About twenty zombies were following him.He brandished a knife and slashed at the zombies.From inside a wall, Jack heard a blood curdling moan but not that of a zombie but like a person who’s mouth had been sealed with cobwebs. It was something howling, something screaming, something clanking and clattering…A ghost!! Suddenly a petrifying BOOM!! Rippled through the mine!

Eyes

You are flaming like the eye of the demon

you are energetic like the eye of the cheetah.

You are strong like the eye of the elephant.

The tree

The Kindly but wispy old tree asks for mercy as the logger’s axe meets it’s base.The felled tree calls to the mushrooms “oh help me for you are my brothers!oh help!”The mushrooms provide and help for the tree is truly kind.
the boastful but strong tree is felled by the axe that felled the other but when he calls no answer comes for he is truly unkind.
