Five Sentences using contrasting with prepositional phases.

 

 

1/Outside, the snow heavily dropped on the rocky mountain. Inside, a flamed lantern danced in the living room.

2/Outside, the towns’ lights quickly disappeared. Inside, every house was slowly waking up.

3/Above, the erupting volcano puffing out smoke. Below, in the town, people urgently were running away.

4/In the Arctic, white foxes chase Artic hares. In the Antarctic, Emperor penguins fish for delicious sardines.

5/In the rain forest, a three toed sloth hung under a moss ridden umbrella-shaped cecropia tree. In the Mojave Desert a road runner skirts across the hot sand.

Pool party

Outside, the rain poured down in the afternoon sky.

Inside, the football team were having a pool party.

Below the water, Jack grabbed a toy fish.

Above the water, Harry jumped into the pool hoping to touch the deep pool’s ground.

Under the float, Amy was planning to topple the float over.

On top of the comfortable float, Monica rested peacefully.

On the right of the pool, the parents watched enviously as the kids had fun in the pool.

On the left of the pool, the children leapt into the warm water.

Inside the kitchen, John’s mum prepared pizza.

Outside the kitchen, Maddie waited for the delicious pizza to come out.

Contrasting Sentence’s

Outside of the school , it was very cold .

Inside the classroom , it was very warm .

Above the pool , was the shining sun .

Under the sun , people were very hot .

West of the castle , was a big dragon .

East of the castle , was a pack of wolfs .

Outside the house , was a fox .

Inside the house , was a parrot .

Inside  the castle , was a Gard dog .

Outside the castle , was a big rat .

Outside/Inside.

Outside, the clouds consumed the cold winter day.

Inside, the toasty fire danced in the fireplace.

 

Underground, the skeleton of a dinosaur lay.

Overground, the children played in the playground.

 

Above the table, the cat played with its spool of yarn.

Below the table, the mouse squeaked fearfully at the cat.

 

On the left of the house, a solitary deer roamed around.

On the right of the house, the garden gnome sat.

 

South of the world, the penguins played in their icy climate.

North of the world, Santa wrapped presents with his elves for the next Christmas.
