And the adventure ends…

Several hours later, the adventurers were still flying. They had been sitting on the ship’s deck whilst Scarlet asked an infinite amount questions: How did you find us? How did you fix our sky ship? Does mum know that you came to help us? But then, as she was about to ask yet another question, they saw something fly above them at lightening speed. What was it?

For minutes that felt like years, the storm swirled. They sat, huddled together. Wind howled and rain poured. Scarlet shuddered. Were they going to survive?

At that moment, they saw it again, only this time with a dark figure perched on its scaly back. Discreetly, they stared above, watching. A purple shadow travelled closer to the sky ship. Their dad’s skin prickled. What was it?

Suddenly, it was side by side with the ship. A woman then jumped of from the dragon’s back and walked closer.

“Hello shipmates!” she said in a fake pirate voice.

“Mum! What? How?” gasped Scarlet. Yet again Daisy woofed with happiness and excitement.

“Hi Sally!” said their dad walking closer.

“Well, aren’t I lucky to see you here Mark!” Sally exclaimed

Twenty minutes later, they started the engines once more and floated through the vivid sky, watching the not-so-terrifying dragon fly off into the distance.

Now, you may have thought young Scarlet had nothing more to say, but of course she still had one question: Mum, how did you get a dragon?

The Sky ship adventure- Episode 3

It was early afternoon and Scarlet sat in amazement with Daisy by her side. Then they heard a noise. It sounded like one they had heard before. It was a voice. Scarlet ran out of the cave, Daisy followed. The man, whose voice sounded deep and familiar, came closer. A smile grew on Scarlet’s face and Daisy woofed in happiness. Then, they made eye contact and ran to each other…

“Dad! It’s you! How did you find us? Were you the one who fixed our sky ship?” Exclaimed Scarlet feeling over the moon.

“Well, my dear, let’s just say that I did. I fixed your sky ship,” said her dad calmly.  “Come on, let’s go and fly back home.”

And so they did. They flew through the clear sky, the sun shining brightly. It felt amazing having a new crew mate!

The Sky ship adventure continues…

Scarlet and Daisy woke with a start. They were still in the same gloomy place. Scarlet wearily got up and peaked out of the cave. The clouds had melted into the grey sky and leaves rustled in the wind. Daisy was behind her tapping her on the leg. The girl knew she wanted food.

Ten minutes later, they went out to find food (mainly for Daisy though.) A few wood planks were still in sight, but Scarlet didn’t want to remind herself or Daisy about what happened yesterday; it was in the past now.

They walked among bushes of brown, red and yellow, Daisy often went to sniff them to see if there was a small animal, she could feast on. They soon had been walking for miles, it was time to turn back…

They stumbled back to the cave empty-handed, but then Scarlet stopped amazement…

“What! How?” she cried with excitement. Then Daisy ran closer to it. The sky ship had been fixed! Hundreds of thoughts raced across Scarlet’s mind: how could anyone do this? It’s a miracle! Me and Daisy aren’t alone.

And let’s just say she was right; they weren’t alone…

What will I pack?

On my sky ship adventure I will pack…

A never ending chocolate bar to keep my energy high.

An invisible jar of memories that smile.

A dagger to poison the villainous, olive green sky ogres.

A bubble gum pink t-shirt that never needs to be washed.

A light-weight blanket that will keep me warm whilst I sleep on the clouds.

A notepad and pen to record my adventure.

You are the sun

You are an eagle

the summer sky.

You are a grey, velvety cat

You are a snake slithering
your way out of
the captivating zoo.

you are a highlighter

You are a soft innocent cake

You are the root
