Swamp dragon

The swamp dragon is actually a far cousin of the water dragon. It came to live in the swamp over the years because humans polluted the oceans and transformed them into bogs. So they evolved and now are known as swamp dragons. Now, swamp dragons like to hide under in the sticky, mucky gloopy a swamp and then drown their prey; So don’t go looking for one without special equipment. Did you know that swamp dragons actually have coarse, rocklike armour and have a round body.

You might be able to identify a swamp dragon by looking in a bog and spotting a imperfection in the mud. Although a grown man can take down a swamp dragon, these dangerous dragons are usually found in groups called blogs so that is why people usually travel with a friend when travelling through swamp terrain. Next, the swamp dragon is usually peaceful but when alarmed they are known to have a surge of power so great it has been thought that it could take on a male monstrous nightmare. It also, whether male or female, has the ability to lay multiple (as in 1-3) eggs at a time. Sadly, they have this ability because not all the eggs make it.

Additionally, they are a type of flightless dragon and they only have their wings for warmth and scaring enemies. Overall these dragons are extremely endangered because poachers see them as pests.

The chase

As the they neared the door opened as if daring them to enter. They were pushed through and the wind wasn’t helping. They went through the dark corridor. They went through the hall. And finally arrived at a door. It creaked open. James and his friends peered in the crack and then a white, looming figure charged at them. James’ friend Mathew charged past him and ran down a adjacent corridor. It was best to split up. James kept running straight, thankfully the ‘supposedly ghost’ went after Mathew. As he drew closer to a door he gracefully slipped past it and slammed it shut. Creak Creak Creak. The monster was outside.

Inside the house

Gerald.

Gerald was Herald’s little brother, and he was standing on the landing. It all made sense except, Gerald had died last year. As Gerald glided elegantly down the staircase to his brother, Herald noticed that Gerald made not a footprint on the decaying carpet. As Gerald neared, Herald leaped out and gave him a hug, suddenly Herald collapsed on the floor. As he spat out bits of grime and dirt he also heard Gerald chuckle. “What!” He cried out there was only one explanation for this his brother was a ghost.
