What I love

I want to paint…

the feeling of a silently slithering snake, which is as cute as a bunny and as deadly as a drop of cobras venom.

the cuteness of my snake and my cat having fun together.

I want to paint…

the look of my snakes happiness as he slithers through my life.

the impossibility of mighty magnets sticking to my cute cat.

I want to paint…

the smell of bonfires after Guy Fawkes night.

the look of the morning sunrise when I wake up.

I want to paint…

the taste of strawberries glistening in the super sunshine.

the smell of freshly baked bread like cookies on Christmas morning.

I want to paint the things I love.

The Sacrificed Emporium Chapter 4 by Jess

Ignoring the noise of the zombie  thing, Polly frantically searched for the door. In its place stood a small pool. There  were many reeds next to and it looked like there was a door at the bottom of the pool and on either side of this crimson door 2 palm trees were placed.

Immediately, Polly realised what to do. She could complete the task in only 1 dive. She ran back, faced the pool and sprinted towards it. As soon as her toes touched the edge, she dived. Leaping into the water, Polly went as deep as possible and touched the door…

Tugging at the handle, she tried and tried. Polly needed to breathe but she knew she couldn’t. Her eyes started to close. She had to keep going. Polly forced them open and it opened at last. She tumbled through. Water drained into the Emporium, yet the corridor was as dry as a bone, and so was she.

Silently, she walked back, wandering through passageways and went back towards the shop front. Mr Mine stared at her ”you’re back. Find what you wanted?” Polly shook her head sadly.

”what happens is, even if you write it in my book, you can’t undo the past.” He put his goblet down on the nearby table and smiled at her.

”come again anytime, you’re always welcome! Oh and The Sacrificed Emporium is named that because when people enter, they sacrifice their imagination. Everyone except you.”

Polly stepped out of the vintage shop, walked halfway down the street and then realised that she didn’t buy her Grandmother a birthday present so she turned around but it was gone. The Sacrificed Emporium was gone.

As she walked home to Seaside Road,m she didn’t that a diamond encrusted pen had sprouted legs and was following her. When she arrived, Polly opened the red gate and saw the pen. She put it in her pocket and entered her home.

Pook one-leg. By Jess

Finally, they were ready to leave. Word had spread that the wolves had come to invade Down ville. Suddenly, the wolfs bang on the door and the door was on its hinges. Chez (their brother) grabbed them by the hand and ran to the hidden tunnel behind the old chair which has been there for 100 years.

“Run as far as you can there will be an exit at the end” whispered Chez. Their journey would take 2 weeks to get to the dark sea. They would have to pass over mountains, pond with crocodiles and thorns with the wolves right behind them. “Go to the cave that’s in Gloom wood!” chez said to Paz.

Pook and Paz set off to Gloom wood watching the light of Down ville fade away. Paz put Pook on his back and a few minutes later they came across the pond with crocodiles. Luckily, the crocodiles were asleep (because its midnight) so he swam to the other side and saw a little opening to a cave. “Paz I’m tired are we there yet?” whimpered Pook.

“No but we can sleep here for the night.” Said Paz to Pook. Paz put Poo down carefully and settled down next to him.

“Pook?” asked Paz but there was no answer. 2 minutes later and Paz and Pook were fast asleep.

How to look after a baby dragon.Jess

How to look after a dragon

Have you just received a baby dragon from you friend and don’t know how to look after it? Well fear not. Just follow the instructions below (make sure to follow it correctly or something could go wrong) to know how to look after these magnificent creatures.

What you will need:

  • A lead and a bridle
  • Food (anything but needs to be meat)
  • Water (dragons prefer fresh water from a waterfall)
  • A big space for it to run around any fly around.
  • A hose to wash off all the mess
  • Have a bucket of lava at all times

First, make a bed for it so it can sleep.

Next, go hunting for meat because it will get hungry very quickly and if it’s hungry it gets angry.

Then, it needs to be fed 4 times (breakfast, lunch, dinner and one before it sleeps) a day.

Before it goes inside it needs to be washed down because it doesn’t like sleeping when it’s dirty.

Sensibly take it on a walk 5 times a day and it needs to go out 4 times a day.

It needs to have most of your attention.

Finally, it needs a lava bath to make it feel like it’s at home.

Dragons make amazing pet but one day you will need to let it go because it will get too big. Now you know how to look after a baby dragon.

Prologue- Chapter 1 The Sacrificed Emporium by Jess

Prologue- The Sacrificed Emporium

The Sacrificed Emporium has never had any visitors for as long as anyone can remember. It’s all due to the name.

Even when the crimson bricks lit up in the moonlight. Even when costumed people positioned themselves in front of it and acted like its great inside, just to help the man who owned it. Even when people stared at the heavy black door,  no-one entered. Everyone thought it was a dismal place that had no guests. Yes no guests, at least  not until Polly…

Chapter 1-  Entering Places

Polly’s friends had always told her that when she wasn’t doing her job, her curious ways could get her into trouble. She never listened to them though. Walking down Seaside Road  Polly noticed that for once the doors to The Sacrificed Emporium were open. Polly was a cautious person so she was unsure weather or not to go inside. Polly then remembered that it was her Grandmothers birthday next week and that she loved vintage furniture so she entered The Sacrificed Emporium for the fist time. Crimson curtains lined the windows and a golden eagle shaped lectern stood in the middle of the shop front whilst medals and marvels stood still like statues on the windowsills. Polly’s long, ginger pigtails blew in the breeze as she entered the place. Dust and furniture scents climbed her nose. Footsteps could be heard and then a tall man with dusty grey hair and lightning coloured eyes walked through a passageway all of a sudden: ”well you must be our customer, welcome to the shop!”                                                                                                                                                                        ”wow no-one’s ever been here before? I’m surprised at that, this place is great!” Polly replied with a huge smile across her face.                                                                         ”mmmm hmmmm, the very first, now this book is called the book of mystic secrets. Whatever i write turns into a room.”                                                                                   Polly gasped and stared at him in shock.
