The Haunted Emporium

Prologue

In a small unknown town, there stood a shop in the middle of a village that is haunted and never been visited before, the place is called the Haunted Emporium.

Although when it’s Halloween and all the pumpkins are lit and the lights are up. Although the magical toys would try and beg you to come in you still look at the fascinating things. Although you could smell the taste of fresh bread and the fresh chocolate that have just been made. Although you heard the laughter from the toys inside. Although the displays were presented with beautiful sweets, toys, clothing and pencils. It has still never been visited by a human-being.

The Emporium had been stood there for 3 months and no-one has ever entered it that is until little Steven was walking home from school and saw the lights, even though his mum said don’t go in he was intrigued so he decided to disobey his mum and go in!

Chapter 1

Steven was always wondering what was inside the little shop. One rainy Friday evening, Steven was on his way home from school he stumbled across the shop while walking down the slippery pavement, but she noticed something unusual about the Emporium, the door was opening with a sign saying come in come in we’ve got some toys, sweets and accessories. So, because Steven is a mischief maker and his mum told him not to go in, he disobeyed his mum and went in.

Everywhere she looked, it was all wonderous accessories and glistening things. She saw a bright yellow canary singing a song, golden and silver accessories like necklaces, bracelets and statues, a lot of hand painted clocks, shoes that bounce up and down 5 feet, a pencil and a notebook that has a special ability which is whatever you draw in the book with the pencil it comes to life, a bowl of sweets, bread and chocolate freshly made waiting to be eaten on the counter, a set of army figures that have several guns and are rotating and fighting on a battlefield, a fish tank with fake fish made on cardboard and have diamond pearls and emeralds on in not-so-wet water and books that have pages on pages of colouring arts from different famous artists.

Steven looks straight for more things but instead locks eyes with the shopkeeper ‘’I see you’ve wondered into my shop what could I get you today?’’ Steven looked in shock at the shopkeeper with a black Cat walking next to him. Steven stared at the cat and the shopkeeper said ‘’ Do you like my cat? She’s like my best friend.’’ Steven stared in amazement but suddenly the shopkeeper spoke out again ‘’ Could I interest you in some comics perhaps if your nice I could give you one for three? Steven instantly said ‘’Yes please!’’

what are cold

What are cold? A villain’s heart, a snowman’s body and snow on the ground.

What are hot? A fire blazing in the sky and in your house laying in your bed.

What are noisy? A mike that I like in Smiths toy super stores and in Walmart.

What are quiet? The trees going side to side and ants heading to their nest.

What are cruel? A group of bullies hurting you so much

What are good? A helper doing good things for people and kids are helping their mum and dad.

What are bad? A person stealing a ring and a monkey stealing a banana.

I would take

the smell of petrol from a gas station,

freshly baked chips from McDonald’s

and donuts in Blackpool which have just came out of the fryer with sugar on.

I would take

the sound of Wigan Warriors fans roaring before kick-off in the DW stadium,

Man united fans screaming sui after Ronaldo scores a goal in Old Trafford

and car tyres screeching on King Street.

I would take

the sight of planes taking off from Manchester airport on the runway,

the midnight sky shining down on me with the glowing galaxy

and my dog running around in my house.

I would take

the touch of my rabbit’s fur when I’ve picked him up,

my PlayStation controller when I’m playing Fortnite

and my baby brother’s hair when he’s crawling around.

I would take

the taste of freezing cold Pepsi max on a hot summer’s day,

sausages straight freshly cooked from the barbecue

and my dad’s homemade burgers.

poem 2

I have never climbed on the Twin Towers, but I have climbed up a mountain.

I have never seen a golden monkey in the zoo, but I have seen a chimp.

I have never seen a pig on fire, but I have seen pork.

I have never touched a lizard, but I have touched a buggy.

I have never seen a hammerhead shark, but I have seen a dog

The animals

I have never patted a wild bunny but, I have patted my brown and white rabbit.

I have never touched a dog at my house but, I have seen dogs at the park.

I have never ridden on a horse but, I have seen a horse at   Strathorn show.

I have never jumped over the moon on a cow but, I have seen a cow at a farm.

I have never run 26.5miles on the back of a sheep but, I have run a 5k for fun.

I have never ridden a unicorn into space but, I have seen a show about space and there were no unicorns.

I want to paint a creature

I want to paint a creature-

a cruel creature crying copiously in the cave

I want to paint –

a motorbike moving on the motorway

I want to paint a lory made of sunlight of glory

I want to paint-

a leave on the ground like frail starfish glooming up in the sky

i want t paint a creature

I want to paint a creature-

a cruel creature crying copiously in the cave

I want to paint –

a motorbike moving on the motorway

I want to paint a lory made of sunlight of glory

I want to paint-

a leave on the ground like frail starfish glooming up in the sky

The Scary Monster

I want to paint the red round monster crying in the frosty fog.

I want to paint the big fat monster in the dark blue water munching on fish.

I want to paint a slim skinny shiny monster sting on a pink car breaking the brown brittle front window and destroying it.

I want to paint a big red monster fighting a red, black big fish…

Ashton hotel

I sat in a room of little lizards

and they scaled the lengthy walls like a stampede of Elephants.

I sat in a room of petrified penguins

that slid down the stairs singing a song.

I sat in a room of man-like megalodons

walking in the wrecked room saying it’s time to feast so I ran out.

I sat in a room of dumb dogs

who were eating on their ferocious food.

I sat in a room of bad birds

that were flying around the rigid room breaking the lights that were singing in colours.

I sat in a room full of problematic pigs

that were snorting loudly so loudly in fact it broke the large lights.

Finally, I left a room of dry dolphins

that were diving down the disgusting stairs.
