Chapter one:where the journey begins
Finally, they were ready to leave.
That afternoon, a letter came through the door unexpectedly. Podkin rushed to open it. It said that the gorm was only a few miles away from steep mountain Hut and that no one was safe.
The three little rabbits left home silently. They knew, when they reached their destination, they were safe. Other rabbits took the normal path, but their mum gave them an ancient map that led to the old paths, but since she was too old, she had to stay, hiding in the woods.
Holding the map, the three rabbits struggled over the rope bridge that went across the coloogrim river. Soon enough, they were in the Elive forest. Following the ancient path, hoping that it led to safety, podkin took the lead. Every step he took he looked around so that he knew if anything was coming. It might be a predator, or it might be the frightening Gorm.
When Podkin took the lead, Pook held Paz’s paw. Both rabbits followed their brothers trail, making it a game. But soon, Paz’s paw was frozen and Pook could feel him shivering, moments later which felt like hours, they found a nice spot so Podkin stopped to build a shelter for the night. They carried branches to a tree and lined then together and soon enough, it became a successful hut.
That night, they ate some dry carrots.it wasn’t tasty, but it was all they had. Pook and paw were hugging each other, so they both could be warm. Podkin gave a sad stare, and then whispered ”how are we going to do this?” The sadness made Podkin go to sleep, and thought about how plans wouldn’t work out, and if anyone would get lost. Would they survive?
