Chapter 2 – The Nightmare
Sam stared at Maryam, his big orange sunset eyes were on fire. His big scaly green slithering back, waiting hoping for some food. Maryam noticed his big slithery tong.
To Maryam’s surprise, she opened her
Mouth, and spots on his sharp teeth,
As yellow as can be. He sniffed Maryam’s clothes, then licked her soft hands, like a lively lizard.
“He’s shy.” said Mrs Corrin, as the great reptile vanished into the bushes.
On the way back from the odd house the wind soared through the sky and on to the Moonlight. Maryam stopped beside the music tower. Is the snake watching them? “He’ll be looking.”
Said Mrs Corrin.
“I found him lost in the woods looking for food,”said Mrs Corrin. Someone
Probably forgot him in the middle of the battlefield. “He was fast and healthy as soon as I gave him energy
He was as fast as lighting,”
Said Mrs Corrin.
“Don’t tell anyone about him otherwise they will kill him.” Said Mrs Corrin.
That night, Maryam couldn’t sleep, she just thought of Sam all alone in a deep dark miserable house. When he licked her finger’s she couldn’t bear to look. Her eyes closed, she had a nightmare Sam got lost and didn’t come back.
Night after night, Maryam visited Sam,bringing him leftovers from previous dinners.Mrs Corrin taught the snake how to hunt food.Mrs Corrin gave a dead rat and bit it right before he went back to the haunted house.
One evening, she let Maryam feel her scaly skin. Soon, was waiting for food,
And hoping for a dead rat. And Maryam changed.Maryam no longer
Was sad.Mrs Corrin could see her dancing with happiness.
Through the summer’s happy week’s,
She watched the slithering serpent snake chasing the serpent girl.Their friendship was true.
