hidden things

hidden things

It doesn’t have to be

A seagull soaring above like a wicked grandma peering from the old leather chair or that which lurks on the misty moors or the satisfying crunch of a delicious pasty crust.

It could be

the glint of a the swallow fluttering away into the sun as it sets or the candy-floss like clouds glinting at you with a big smile or a dandelion lit up like a disco ball.

Just notice nature’s disguised treasures,

the single leaf drifting in the wind like a kite.

See the beauty.

OF WILD DOGS WAILING.

SO SILKY SMOOTH LIKE SNOW FLAKES.

Dragon’s Prey

Red eyes twitch,

They brighten,

And frighten.

Footsteps linger,

Echoing everywhere,

Looking for someone.

Glistening scales,

Shimmer in the darkness,

Clattering in the black.

Huge horns spike,

Standing tall,

Feeling ready to find their next prey.

Piercing claws,

Send shivers down your spine,

Removing all in the way.

Tremendous teeth,

Bite through all of you,

Never feeling guilty.
