Chapter 4

“Captain the skygoblins are here; there’s thousands of them!” Harper shouted in fear. The crew ran around in terror trying to find a place to hide. They were trying to find weapons to protect themselves. The captain was quickly letting down the sails, getting ready to take off. Harper’s crew found out how to blow up the balloons so they grabbed hold of the lever then pulled it back sending the balloons flying up into the sky. Harper found a bunch of spears to throw at them; Tom found a sharp knife to sharpen the sea tiger’s claws so she could scratch their skin sending them to fly away; and Veronica found a few crossbows for them to shoot down the skin-biters.

Sapphine ran over to the wheel and turned it into the direction they needed to go. The wings on the side flapped up and down like a dolphin going in and out of the water. The captain, who was terrified for her life, span the wheel desperate to leave the island. Suddenly, they felt a sharp vibration on the ship. Veronica and Tom ran over to the side of the ship and saw huge slimy flexible octopus tentacles wrapped around the ship dragging it down back onto the water. Sapphine shouted at the top of her lungs, “Guys prepare for battle they are here!”

Before the skygoblins made it onto the ship Tom ran and hid behind a load of boxes. There was a thud then a loud bang, the skygoblins had made it onto the ship. Tom could hear the crew screaming and shouting as the goblins attacked them. “Tom stay where you are and dont move!” Harper shouted. “ I wonder who this Tom boy is but I’m going to find him.” One of the goblins were running towards where Harper was facing and searched around for him. Tom heard something that made him not daring to breathe. One of the goblins was scratching the side of the boat hissing Tom’s name and suddenly he heard loads of splats and saw guts and blood and skin shoot from the sky. They ran out and cleaned the decks and they thought of what adventures they were going on next.

During the night when peace roams changes very quickly as the dangerus terrtorial Cyclops walks the forest. You must stay as silent as you can and hide. If you make a single noise you will be eaten alive instantly.

When walking on snowy mountains be very cautious of terrifying, territorial beasts; mantacors that make sure you won’t go near the tallest mountains; elves keep you from coming away from the snowy tops; and wand-wirlers. These creatures are everywhere other animals fears them. The only way you can get them to leave you alone is if you stand as still as you can. They will fly away or levertate you to where you need to go.

Low golden sun rays will catch your eyes in winter months; glares so bright, may cause you to go blind if you stare too long. Therefore beware what time of the month you go on your quest.

If you do choose to go on our quest also remember to bring your wooden magic staff for protection from all dangers that cause you harm and bring your unlimited food can. Good luck and be safe.

Go to the end of the crystal lake 

and after the sun has set,

watch the lake glisten in the moonlight.

Travel on the butterflies back 

to the far away mountain tops 

and explore the icey spikey-tops.

Here you must seek

a spider crawling along the snow

he will know where the explorer is.

Walk to the forbidden forest

and hope luck is on his side 

 the explorer will be waiting

There could be a time in  your life where you run into an alien. Would you know how to handle an experience like this? You must follow these rules to survive and protect yourself and the alien.

First, do not matain eye contact so it knows you’re friendly. Also if it trys to make eye contact with you then you know that it is not friendly.

Next, see if and what type of alien it is. Once you have done that, make a replica of their home, make it cosy with soft furniture and put it in a home where it can not escape. 

Later on, provide it with plenty of food and water such as: steak; sandwiches; pork; vegetables and fruit.

Finally, if it has been behaving then give it a gift if it has not been do not give him or her. If you do give it a toy car it will eat it.

Dear Thoughtful Flier,
I am writing to you to persuade you to stop being a superhero. We all think you create more harm to the city than keep it safe.

My first point is that you do not know where you are flying and crash into homes of innocent citizens and cause damage to houses and people. Every single time, you slow down you do not slow down fast enough then end up ruining buildings. You are possibly a bad superhero

I would also like t argue that you damaged our people in the city then saved, like all the other superheroes. Besides, most of all the other people we work with have had a talk with our people and all of them say you disappoint them.

Furthermore, I and concerned that you are too young to be a heroine. You are 19 years old and should honestly be in school making friends learning and getting a good job that pays well. Also, families are starting to call you Thoughtful Kid Flier, that’s how young they think you are. Beings you are very young you cannot use your powers properly, and you cause lives of little kids. Do you think this is how superheroes behave and treat our city? Another thing as soon as you got your powers you straight away became a superhero.

Although some people suggest watching you fly through the perfect clear skies gives them comfort and joy, I believe that you panic people all because of the dreadful ear- bleeding noise coming from your wings. Most of the citizens hear this noise. Do you feel this is heroine behaviour?

To summarize, you add to the damage to our towns people. Everyone is left thinking if you deserve to be a hero or not. If I were you, I would go back to school or get a job and live your life freely. Get a well paid job, go to College and make some friends who don’t have powers. Please have a long hard think about what I have said and write back to me.

Outside, rain hammered down melting the frost and lightning roared overhead. Inside, Mia bolted through the old, run down building, gazing desperately for somewhere to hide. Ancient pieces of burned wood, rotted chunks of metal laying on the dusty, dirty ground and missing parts of the roof. To her horror, she could just about make out that there was only one way out through the door. It was locked.

Behind her, the psycho man stood illuminated in front of the door, a gold tooth in the moonlight. Mia gasped…

At that moment, something roared, louder than the thunder outside. Out of the shadows, two amber eyes appeared, a flash of tawny brown and the whitest of teeth. Whatever it was burst past Mia and stood between her and the psycho, homeless man.

It was huge. Huge and tawny brown. Mia realised that he was standing beside a massive lioness. It threw back its soft head and roared. At that moment the man fled. Mia stood rooted to the spot paralyzed by fear.

The lion rotated to face Mia and sat down, holding out her paw as if it was saying you’re welcome. She could see that she was injured. There was a line of blood across her leg. She had never been so close to a creature like this before. She could smell an earthy odor and watched as her pelt of tawny brown fur ripple across her back.

They stared at each other and Mia felt a weird connection between them, seeing deeper and deeper into her very being. But her horror began to fade away. Mia held out her hand facing her fear. The lion looked confused until Mia held her other hand over the lions head ready to stroke her.  Suddenly, the lion understood what Mia was doing. The lion lent forward and licked one of her hands and let Mia stroke her soft, fluffy head. Her eyes lit up as if heated by fire. She could see kindness but also pain.
