Prologue
Have you ever noticed any shops that have never been touched or stared at before? Shops no-one looks at, like the disappearing Emporium. Even though the midnight black bricks glisten in the sun, the door has an indigo blue gate which seems to glow in the dark like a night light shining in the darkness.
Despite the bright, glistening door there was an outstanding window display. In the window were jars of chocolate goodies and giant gummy worms sticking out of the top. The reflection of people walking by, flying teddy bears with big red bows and the sound of baby crying dolls. No-one would ever look inside or go inside until one day…
Chapter 1
One day a girl called Lily caught in the corner of her eye, a mysterious creaking door opening slowly. Lily was a young girl who attended breckland, she just finished her music lesson and was walking home from school. When she noticed the door she decided to look inside. One step in and she felt like she was in heaven, she saw flying teddy bears, giant gummy worms and the noise of baby dolls crying and bouncing tennis balls. There were even disappearing gummy bears and candles with blue flames.
As she crept across the hallway she heard a shout and a growl, she turned to see a tall, old wrinkly man in a black and blue oversized suit. He had a slimey, dirty moustache and beard. The man screamed in anger ‘’Why are you in my shop?!’’ Lily was terrified, he had
evil dogs sitting at his feet, growling.
Chapter 2
After explaining why she was in the shop Mr Silver meandered around and left Lily. All of a sudden, a dove landed on an outstanding, sparkling book, and that’s when she noticed it. She was instantly drawn to it. Unexpectedly, Lily heard a band, she looked up to see Mr Silver, he didn’t look happy, she heard him scream ‘’DON’T TOUCH THAT BOOK!’’
Mr Silver angrily walked off stamping his big foot on the ground, thinking that Lily would follow him, Lily thought to herself ‘’why can’t I touch the book?’’ As it got darker Lily krept out of the corner she was having a nap in, she went over to the book and touched it.
Lily thought to herself, ‘’nothing happened’’ so she opened it and started reading, but then, suddenly she felt dizzy and light headed…
Until, BOOM! She landed in a land. A gigantic land
Lily couldn’t comprehend her surroundings, there were people as tall as normal sized houses, the trees that were towering over the people. Lily felt odd and tiny, she was also excited. She started to explore, she could smell bread baking in the oven as she walked past the bakers. She could hear chirps from the bird nest above her head. Lily kept on walking until she noticed a big foot about to stomp on her, she ran away just in time. But then she sat and stared
Chapter 3
It was a beautiful day when Lily decided to go on a nice, relaxing walk. It was around lunchtime, she was looking for somewhere to stay. After a while, Lily found a cute little cottage surrounded by massive trees. She went inside…
Lily started looking around, they were three bowls of porridge, one big, one medium and one small. She went into the living room and there were three chairs, all different sizes again. She went upstairs and there were three colourful, cosy beds.
Lily felt safe in the little cottage, until she saw something in the corner of her beautiful, bright blue eyes, when she turned to look nothing was there. She slowly walked across the room to something with big, shiny, glistening eyes staring into her soul. She heard the screetch that came out of his mouth, her face dropped, there was a big, wobbly shadow on the old, hazel looking wall. It started disappearing and appearing somewhere else.
Lily ran downstairs and she could see an arm of the creature, the arm was filled with blood of the other people he’s attacked. The creature came out of the corner, she caught a glimpse of the creature. She screamed in terror, she sprinted out the merky, creaky door. It started chasing her, Lily looked back and she saw the creature’s green legs that were filled with venom and blue poke – a – dots on his back that could electrocute. She was frightened.
Lily ran through the bushes, the leaves and past the trees. She got to the end of the forest and there was a code lock on a door, she couldn’t open it. She stood there in trepidation.
Chapter 4
Terrified, she tried to figure out the code with a scared look on her face, she had sweaty palms and could barely grip the lock. She turned around to see the creature behind her, she looked around for somewhere to hide, but all she could find were trees and lakes, however that gave her an idea!
Hoping that the creature dislikes water, Lily dived into the lake that was behind a blackberry bush and swam away like a goldfish. Scared, she chucked the rocks behind her in search of another door, but one without a code lock.
Aggressively, Lily started pulling at the door, she was running out of breath when the door burst open like a block of dynamite. Rapidly, water catapulted over her head, amazingly she was dry. Mr Silver was there staring into her eyes.
Although she touched the book, Mr Silver wasn’t angry with her. She turned around and left.
Like a cheetah, she sprinted back to say one more thing to him, but everything was gone, it had completely disappeared. Lily was in shock, all that was left was the one page that she read in the book. She left, but then a dove landed on a branch and watched her walk home.
