The Multimander

Chapter 1

Mia was spending her summer holiday in her Aunt Kate’s house at Stone Village. It certainly lived up to it’s name. Stone Village was all grey, boring and musty. Until she discovered the skatepark at the edge of the village. Luckily, she had brought her skateboard. This was going to be so fun! That all changed when she arrived and it was closed! Kicking rocks on the way back, she spotted an old, abandoned pet shop that wasn’t there on the way to the park. ‘Ooh, this could be interesting’ And with that, she despretly rushed in. But, as soon as she was inside she saw a strange animal.  Panting and gasping, Mia tiptoed silently towards the sleeping creature. Looking down at her trembling hands, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she reached the creature she noticed a flinch of movement in the corner of her wide eyes. Alarmed, she spun around and spotted a person. ‘He must be the old owner of the shop’ She thought. But before she had a chance to ask him, he fell to the ground and disappeared into ashes.

All I need

All I need…                                                                                                                                                                          It doesn’t have to be a cup of golden pollen from the silver orchid on the tip top of a mountain.                      It doesn’t have to be the tooth of a slayed lightning dragon from south Scotland.                                                It doesn’t have to be the blood of a bronze ocean cat from the Pacific.

It could be a petal of a gold daffodill in a glorious field.                                                                                              It could be a single tear of a newborn baby.                                                                                                                    It doesn’t have to be very special, all I need is something nice.

Bird and Sky

On the way home

I met a girl called Bird. A small minority of her was shy but a larger majority was majestic and elegant. She walked so softly on her tiptoes that she looked as if she was about to take off into the sunset of dusk.

I met a boy called Sky. He had pale soft skin and was wearing baby blue clothes. He was very cheerful and he was almost twice the size of me!

The strangest day ever!

Dear diary, yesterday was the strangest day ever and you won’t believe what I spotted! It all started when I was exploring the woods and making a treehouse with my best friend, Alice. I told her that I was going to find something to eat because my stomach was like an angry wolf! So I set off with a small basket and searched for food, but I couldn’t even find a single berry!

I did find some things that were very necessary for the treehouse (that we had barely made any progress on) though. Just as I was about to give up and head back to Alice, I noticed a glowing, gleaming beam of light that seemed to be coming from a big bush. I was so tempted and seconds later I was scrambling over the big bush and I landed on my back with an ‘OOF!’ When I had pulled myself back together, I was absolutely astonished by what was right in front of me.

I was stunned by the mysterious creature’s smooth, soft, white wings and it’s colourful eye- catching tail! It had a nice sky-blue body and two adorable eyes! It was a truly brilliant experience!

Where do my ideas come from?

Write it on a piece of paper,                                                                                                                                           stroke my cat to stop it from being a wall scraper.

Paint it on a wall,                                                                                                                                                              throw your dog a ball.

Travel to an island,                                                                                                                                                            to make thins out of sand.

Watch butterflies fly,                                                                                                                                                       Whilst making a pie.

What are…?

What are noisy? Fireworks crackling in the sky, new born kittens meowing and the roaring engine of a motorbike.                                                                                                                                                                              What are silent? An exhausted cat having a nap, a mouse scuttling across the floor with some cheese and a leaf falling from a tree.

What are happy? A child with an ice-cream sundae, when you get a puppy for Christmas and someone on their birthday.                                                                                                                                                              What are happy? A married couple, people who won the lottery and pets that have been fed.

What are cozy? A cat snuggling up with it’s kitten, movie night on the sofa with your family and getting into bed on a cold winter’s night.                                                                                                                                  What are energetic? A child loaded with sugar, a speedy leopard and little spring lams bouncing across the field.
