Safety first.

Sam woke up in an instant. Leaves rustled and a red, beady eye peaked through. The three foxes curled in a ball but Faith the robin crawled in. She passed on a letter from Mother fox. It said that the burrow was trampled by humans and they were heading their way. Soon after reading it, the band scurried away to Goblin village.

It was late afternoon when they arrived at the village. The trio hadn’t had food for hours so Sam went to look for some. Hundreds of goblins lived in the huts The village was quite hidden away but the hut was visible as they were so big.

Once Sam had finally caught his fish, he strolled back to their hut. Suddenly, goblins were armed with swords and shields. Sam crept behind the huts. He caught a quick glimpse of a shadow. Eerie silence shook the village. All Sam could hear were the moans of the wind. Whispers flew through the air like kites. Sam didn’t dare to move…

The journey to saftey.

Chapter 1: Leaving flower valley

A letter had arrived from Faith, saying that the humans were only a few miles away. Mother fox packed their bags with all the essentials they needed. She was too old to flee so her children- Sam, Pip and Jane- had to go on their own. They hugged solemnly and left the burrow for good.

First, they needed to pass The grand ravine, climb down Acorn valley and swim through Death lagoon. Finally, they would reach their destination: Stone lair. No humans went their because it was disguised as a plain old mountain side. They trudged in the muddy path towards the ravine. A run-down bridge was there to help them cross. Slowly, they tiptoed across. Pip carried Jane as she was a baby and was worried she would fall. Sam led the way after. Soon it was turning dusk. The trio of foxes found a spot to sleep between bushes. Pip and Jane fell fast asleep. Sam kept one eye open for humans. Would they ever make it to Stone lair?

Daring dragons soar through London

Nevin, head of mythical creature organisation.

Yesterday, at 11:oo am, an aggressive dragon soared through the clouds and a number of people witnessed the mythical creature.

Eye witness Martin Oakley was taking a stroll when it flew over his head. He stated that they are one of the rarest, shyest mythical creatures and that he was very lucky to see one. 'There are many stereotypes saying that dragons are beasts and shouldn't exist. They will be a danger to society only if we disturb it,' he advised.
Dragonologists are surprised to see one on it's own as they normally travel in packs.

The prime minister gave a speech, saying to stay indoors and there will be allocated times to go to essential places like shops Schools are closed for the time being and, until the dragons pass, we'll be having a 3rd lockdown.

The Forest Unicorn

The forest unicorn, which is one of the rarest unicorns, can camouflage into anything. It’s found in the depths of the forests. The creature is usually found in the Uk but can be found in other parts of Europe. However, not much is known about the forest unicorn.

The animal is becoming bold as lockdown meant that the woodlands and forests are deserted. Scientists and unicornologists say that poachers and hunters will be returning and they will be easily killed.

This majestic creature has a sparkling horn as bright as the sun. Its mane is a river, trickling down its silky back. Male unicorns don’t have a horn but females do. Their silky tail sways in the wind. They have extremely powerful wings and the horn helps them pierce through the air. They fly almost as fast as their relative, the lightning unicorn.

It eats on bushes and small insects; this makes it an omnivore. Once the unicorn bites its food, it magically turns into glitter. Glitter provides all the nutrients the unicorns need. The forest unicorn is a very shy creature and is rarely seen in the day. The beast is a very peaceful creature (unlike its cousin the storm unicorn) but will attack if it feels that its young is in danger.

What are silent? A man’s last breath as he peacefully enters the kingdom of heaven.

What are hot? A chocolate cake, pulled out of its warm oven house.
