All evening, James sat with his back against the wall staring at the flickering lights. However, Rob rummaged through the cupboards looking for the key. Rob looked at the boarded up
windows and with all his might pulled them but they wouldn’t
budge.
“Why are you sitting on the floor and not helping me?” Rob shouted angrily at James.
“Hey, it’s not me that got us locked in!” replied James.
Rob ran over to the window and started pulling on the boards.
“Rob, what are you doing?”
“I’m trying to get us out of here,” shouted Rob
“I’m sick of your nonsense!” James snapped back.
Right at that moment, Rob could hear careful tapping on the large boarded up windows. As he looked at the windows he
Saw roger. “Please can you get up and give me some wind ups?” Rob opened the window as fast as a flash, trying not to
Make any sound.
Roger opened his beak and pecked the rusty, old key towards Rob. Roger squeaked, “It’s your time to shine, we’ve got to go!”
Gently, Rob poked the key through the lock and twisted it. The lock fell off the door handle and the door slowly slid open. Rob and James carefully crawled down the stairs heading towards the door that led to freedom. They ran as quick as a flash and dashed towards the hills. Roger gracefully flew in the lead, watching out for any enemies.
