The Snow Dragon

The snow dragon is a very friendly dragon. People think they are dangerous because of their claws and teeth but I assure you that they would only hurt you if you threatened them. Their eggs are a sky-blue colour so they could blend in with the blue nest of the snow dragon. They mostly live in Canada or the North or South pole.

Amazingly its eyes are gold which unfortunately cannot be explained. Their scales are snowy white with a surprising warmth so they can keep their eggs warm. The snow dragons tail looks as if it had been spun from frost, it looks fragile, but it is their most essential weapon against predators. Instead of fire they breath ice shards which are very painful if they pierce the skin. Amazingly, their wings are delicate snowflakes weaved together like a woolly jumper. Interestingly their claws are made from freezing pieces of metal. The snow dragon’s teeth are jagged pieces of ice which are the fear of any predator.

Normally, the snow dragons live in Canada or the north or south pole but people have spotted them in rainy countries such as England or Iceland. Their dens are mostly in snowy caves or large snow drifts. Interestingly, research says that they might live under the water of a frozen ponds or lakes due to their gills which are hidden under their wings.

Some of the special features of the Snow dragon is that it can be surprisingly warm and cuddly when its looking after its children. Also, the snow dragon can turn things into a small snow drift if they threaten it or its children. The snow dragon can also breath under water. One of the most amazing things about it is it can turn invisible. WARNING never ever threaten a Snow dragon if you do you will become a pile of snowflakes in seconds.

The Rumbling Bounty

Eventually, Captain Holland came back with Bo and the spare pieces for the ship. The lift jolted with the weight of the Captain, Bo and the pieces as they were lifted up to the side of the ship. Elijah jumped up from his seat in excitement and helped them over the edge of the Rumbling Bounty. Captain Holland announced that he would go down to get the ship ready for take-off. Elijah felt the familiar sensation of take-off as they were launched smoothly into the sky. Suddenly, they hit a lightning storm and the ship rocked violently. Elijah hurried to the shelter of the lower deck but a noise stopped him. He could barely hear the breath taking growls above the storm. Something was in the crow’s nest something was angry.

The Rumbling Bounty

As the sun rose, The Rumbling Bounty jerked to the ground. Elijah, the ship’s mechanic, woke suddenly when the ship rocked unstably, Cat, Elijah’s sister, was awake too as she yawned and snuggled back down under the warm covers. It was a frosty morning. With a bang, Captain Holland burst into the room demanding why they weren’t up. “Come on, you need fix the ship, remember!” Barked Captain Holland. Cat groaned as she crawled out of bed. The Rumbling Bounty had been attacked by the Sunrise Pixies who breathe lightning and spray acid out of the palms of their hands like a hose, they had done a lot of damage. So reluctantly Elijah dragged himself out of his hammock and followed Captain Holland up to the deck. It was more chaotic than before because while they were asleep, they had been hit by some frost storms causing the deck to be covered in a thick layer of ice. Captain Holland and Bo, who tried to make sure The Rumbling Bounty was always shipshape, were going to look for some things on land, but they didn’t tell us what… As Elijah scaled down the side of the ship welding the metal and adding new parts he saw a shadow move on a porthole windowsill. Wondering what It was, Elijah called up to Cat to move in more to the left. It was a Viking Wolf pup, it’s front half was like a wolf and it’s back half was the same as a winged gargoyle. It was obviously lost.

The Trusting Dragon

You are my friend,

Waiting for me when I am slow,

Comforting me when things go wrong.

Your wings,

Thin like paper,

Firm like leather.

Your teeth,

Sharp like daggers,

Powerful like a hydraulic press.

Your eyes,

Kind like me,

Fierce like you.

Your claws,

Comforting when cuddling,

Sharp when protecting.

Your skin,

Resting in folds when calm,

Tense with anger when attacked,

Your spines,

Floppy when relaxed,

Tense when afraid.

You are my friend,

To the end of the world and back,

Always there,

My Dragon.

My Friend the Wind.

You are the wispering  breeze on a calm, sunny day,

You are the roaring  gale on a cold stormy day,

You are the muggy movement in the air on a hot, misty day,

You are the bitter gust on a frosty, glacial day,

You are the powerfull cyclone on the glaring, chilly day.

You are the icy storm in the dark, gloomy night,

You are the soft breeze in the dim, starless night,

You are the frosty blow in the starry, moonlit night,

You are the fresh draft in the mild, cosy night,

You are the chilly current in the cool, bleak night.

You are the stillness at sunset when the world falls asleep.

The Ticking Clock

You are the ticking clock sitting in the corner of the room,

Chiming away at every hour,

Ticking until your last.

You are the music,

Bouncing along on every beat,

People tapping their feet to your rhythms.

You are the water,

Trickling down along the floor,

Leaving a puddle where ever it goes.
