The Forest Dragon

There are many species of dragon in the world but there is one amazing dragon I would like to talk about: The Forest Dragon.

When you walk inside a forest there is lots of leaves and tall trees but camouflaging amongst the leaves could be Forest Dragon. They have large oval shaped bodies, pointy snouts with emerald scales. In addition to this, they have long tails that look like armadillos and long willow tree leaves hanging off of them. They also have a wing span of 24 meters.

The Forest Dragon likes to live in temperate deciduous forests and in the winter migrate to the rainforest. Amazingly, some Forest Dragons can go the winter without migrating this is because they have scales to keep them warm.

Unfortunately, these blue eyed, scaly wonders are being captured because it has been said they have medicinal powers. This has decimated their population from 950,000 to 2000 but many people are trying to help boost the population and with people like that they have a bright future ahead.

The Fight for Freedom chapter 2

Without thinking Tanisha punched Master William and ran. She ran like she never ran before until she stumbled upon a strange woods. Tanisha couldn’t stop now though so she ventured further into the forest. There was a faint pathway so she followed it. Surprised , astonished, dumbfounded, Tanisha opened the door and waiting for her was none other than Harriet Tubman…

The Fight for Freedom

“You are nothing , you have no-one!” were the words said to Tanisha Edwards for 16 years. She  had long, frizzy hair with blue eyes and had beautiful brown skin. Tanisha was clever but also a slave.                                                                                                                                                                   “Get over here you thief!” Shouted Master William. “You have stolen half my expenses and don’t try to deny it. You were the only one at the house at the time!”                                                     Frightened, baffled, confused, Tanisha had no idea what he was talking about but she had to run fast. The punishment for stealing was being whipped to death! It was now or never, she had to escape, but how?

The Eventful Year.

Frosty bare tree stare,
knowing no-one will play there,
slowly dying off.

The cold months are gone,
aromas of daisies scent,
will tickle your nose.

The days are longer,
children playing everywhere,
the sun burns the skin.

Falling leaves are here,
school is starting today,
the sun is hiding.

This is soon the end,
staying with family,
will bring lots of cheer.

Intertwined

The deserted, decaying bike stood,
intertwined with the young tree,
waiting for a willing owner,
to make it shine again.

The saddle is cobwebbed and broken,
not taking care of and is so brittle,
no wonder his self esteem is so little.

Wheels tangled in draping weeds,
tagging along as if they were friends,
who knows it could be the end.

The rusty bike intertwined with the young tree,
will be a story for you and me.

A blooming rose

You are a newly bloomed rose smiling through the bushes,
delicate yet so enchanting,
the very generous spring answers your needs,
sunlight, rain and the gentle breeze,
you will get through the season with ease.
