At dusk, a great horned owl delivered a message from Blue Sea Burrow warning that the Gorm had a plan to invade the Ground Around Burrow. The Power Warren will hopefully hold at least one hundred Gorms. But there are still thousands of Gorms that can be sent to attack. They don’t know how many Gorm warriors they are going to send off. The rabbits have an advantage because they have layers over layers of hard, thick hair.

The three young rabbits Peter, who was thirteen, Pinapy, who was twelve, and little Pat, who was three, decided to leave before the dangerous Gorm arrived. Peter had a hard life being thirteen, he had to clean the rooms on Fridays and Mondays. Pinapy had one job every day and that was looking after baby Pat. But Pat is the sweetest little boy and never misbehaves, so that is helpful for her.  

They started their Journey and went to High Tops. But got lost and ended up at Sea Salt Burrow. They knocked on the wooden door and a guard rabbit opened the door “come on in,” the guard rabbit whispered. Peter, Pinapy and Pat entered one of the most powerful warrens. The chief rabbit told Peter and Pinapy to go to Poseidon’s Palace and ask if they could get the staff of thunder from his brother Zues. 

They made a raft and made it to Poseidon and got the thunder staff and continued their journey. The draft actually sank to the bottom of the ocean. 

They went to High Tops and dug a hole in between two mountains and slept there.

They found burrys, carrots and some leaves, and slowly the food started to disappear. They made a bed out of the leftover food scraps and settled down.

Peter covered up the hole and fell asleep but almost every minute they were woken up to a screech of iron against iron, they knew it was the Gorm because they could hear their voices and they all said in a deep voice “Come out, come out, come out now”.

The rabbits felt that falling asleep was impossible for one minute. They thought they were never going to get to Blue Sea Burrow. Were they ever going to make it to High Tops?
