Jeremiah Valjean-Krakanova
Jeremiah Valjean-Krakanova was born in 2006. He grew up in Culjata near the shores of Sunkiss Bay. His parents were dragon traders who would sell the dragons to the highest bidder and for slaughter. They would often abuse him and his sister until their bodies were red and bruised. Marias (Jeremiah’s sister) ran away at 15 eager to escape her toxic parents. This left Jeremiah alone for many years and caused his parents to be fully absorbed in work and had no time for him.
After 2 months since Marias’s departure, Jeremiah’s parents sent him to Saint Mateo’s Private Boarding School in Talarez and he had no communication with them for many years. He was a bright boy of 10 years with a passion for art, English, language, dragon studies and science. When not in lessons, he studied dragons behaviour and by the end of his primary years Jeremiah knew 20 species of dragon.
As Secondary School dragged by, he found more and more he wanted to pursue a career in dragon conservation. Jeremiah had few friend as he felt more at comfort with dragons rather than humans, for his trust had been broken by his parents. Then at the age of 14 he dropped out of school after a tragic event. Jeremiah went to hospital suddenly because he suffered a seizure, this widely affected his life in the future. But when he was released Jeremiah decided to start his career.
Jeremiah Valjean-Krakanova is best known for founding the JVK Conservation Trust which supports all dragon in all four sectors. In its first year it helped bring back 5 species from extinction and still continues its work today. Jeremiah is also known for receiving the Naliaza award for dragon protection. Being 18 he is very young in his area profession but he is no less respected by peers
He has recently met Freya Quartz (a dragon tamer who works for Jeremiah) and are now married. Although he’s hoping to start a family, he is to continue work and hopes to release a series of books of every dragon he has studied and helped.
In spite of a troubled upbringing and his Epilepsy disorder, Jeremiah Valjean-Krakanov has paved the way for dragon conservation for years to come.
