The things on the Isle of Mull

The things on the Isle of Mull

It doesn’t have to be
the heather on the hills,
or eagles in the deep blue sky,
or the boisterous North sea.

It could be the little otters playing,
or the rainy weather hitting the roads,
or the river getting wilder and wilder
flooding over the bridge,
or the oystercatchers chilling in the water.

Just look, and pay attention,
peer through the bracken
and a little world waits for you.

a simple request

A simple request

it doesnt need to be a double decker bus driving around edinburgh,

or a white shark swimming around in the misty sea,

or a plastic bottle you can drink out of

it could be a pink butterfly flying into the sky

or a scuba diver swimming around the dusty bottom of the atlantic sea,

or a wine bottle with a treasure note in it on black beach.

take a minute to stop and think and look at the bigger picture

it cuold be

It could be

It doesn’t have to be a rainbow
springing out of the mountain,
or the beautiful woods of Calgary beach
or having, a camping with
your friend’s at Eilean ban.

It could be a caterpillar
on a thread of grass, or a row
of mysterious cones or the soil of grass.

Just pay attention to the
littlest things like insects on a branch,
or the flowing water in the river
or the blooming, trees just look around
you might just find things you had
never even knew existed.

Black Beach

It doesn’t have to be the fresh waterfall at Black beach,

or the ginger hardy Highland cows,

or the Grey seals camouflage on the rocks.

It could be prickly green and yellow gores bushes,

or Sea Eagles flying over the dark black sand,

the history of the old cottage ruins

or the smell of the salty sea

mixed with the fresh spring grass,

Or the sound of the sea crashing on the rock.

Look around you

and see the island life.

it doesn’t have to be that

It doesn’t have to be
the sparkly rain drops falling down the glass window,
or the slow snail making its way to the other side of the leaf,
or the sparkling sand under the fresh water.

It could be the honeycomb ice cream on Calgary beach,
or the calming sound of the waves lapping over each other.

Close your eyes,
and listen to the echo in the forest the birds tweeting.
Close your eyes,
and feel the soft grass.
