Silly Sharks

I’ve never ridden an African elephant

but I have sat on the hump of a camel, riding through a forest filled with flowers.

I’ve never touched a sill shark swimming through the sea

but I have seen a malicious monkey swinging on the roof of a car.

I’ve never swam through the Atlantic Ocean

but I have been in the deep end of a pool.

Happiness

I want to paint, the taste of juicy succulent watermelon –  icy cold – on a warm summers day.

I want to paint, the smell of freshly baked bread breathing its warmth down to my heart.

I want to paint, the sound of a baby’s first cry and a loved ones last laugh.

I want to paint, the memory of me and my mums first moment (a marvellous miracle.)

I want to paint, the impossibility of a rainbows dazzling smile shining brighter than the sun.

I want to paint, the image of a fiery phoenix zooming through the sky its feathers ablaze.
