My backpack

In my backpack I would take…

A loyal fox companion to guide me along my way.

A locket with a picture of my jack russell in it to help me through the darkest moments and to watch me from the silver stars.

A brass telescope to study the stars and to watch for comets soaring by.

Sparkling water taken from the whispering water fall, to heal.

A magical map that has everyone on it.

A diary of crystal to keep lost memories.

Husky dragon

The Husky Dragon

Dragon eyes glint

like moonlit pools,

dripping loops of gold

like a spider spinning golden thread.

Its back draped with leathery skin

but a fluffy tummy

like a loveable rabbit

snuggled up on your lap.

Jaws, smothered with grey and pink speckles

like glitter.

Jagged teeth

sharp and good for

catching salmon and crabs.

Its breathe is like white chocolate

arching like a chocolate fountain.

Its rough pink and grey tongue

waving lightly.

A long black spine

is a streak running down its back

curving and whirling.

Large feather wings

gold and pink

like folded origami on its back.

Talons covered with fluffiness

like a butter spread with a knife.

Sharp white claws

like shards of white teeth.

As it patters off into the icy darkness.

Crumpet dragon

Crumpet Dragon

Red velvet eyes

flickering with fire

spreading warmth everywhere.

Soft skin

like crumpets

toasty like a warm hug.

Silky jaws

as gentle as peaches

and as round as the letter O.

Teeth as circular as balloons

and huddling up like penguins.

Curved wings

with glowing feathers

like a sparrow’s wing

set on fire.

Calm scales

spread across the buttery skin

protecting like a suit of armour.

A tongue like a baby’s foot

subtle and boiling.

At nightfall he snuggles

in his nest, leaves pulled over him.

Sea Dragon

 Sea Dragon

Sea dragon isn’t common

but is amazing.

Eyes spinning

like a whirlpool.

Skin as smooth as glass

and silky like a feather.

Tapping teeth

like daggers

reflect in the moonlight.

Turquoise scales

like a bumpy road

leading to the end.

Swaying wings

like an eagle

swiftly flying.

Curved claws

grab on a tree and

tear it up.

The ice and water dragon

The ice and water dragon

Dragon leaps into the water

with a flick of her tail.

Eyes of icy pools

glinting in the moonlight.

Scales, silver and blue

as cold as ice.

Sparkling teeth like glistening icicles

and as sharp as knives.

Jade blue tongue

flapping to one side.

Curved spine

crawling down his back.

Wings flapping vigorously

in the wind.

Fluffy and warm talons

with small but sharp claws

can catch a fish in a second.

Without warning,

shoots out the water

without even a splash.

Hot chocolate dragon.

Hot chocolate dragon

Hot chocolate dragon bathes

in a pool of warm, soothing hot chocolate.

Eyes shimmering in the moonlight

like space diamonds.

Bumpy skin

as bright as the sun.

Spiky, milk chocolate jaws open

to  show a row of grinning, needle- like teeth.

Smooth, soft scales

like fluffy marshmallows clumped together.

A spine like spiky thorns

on a rose stem.

Aerodynamic wings flapping gracefully

to build a mountain of bubbles.

Claws as sharp as daggers

piercing the bubbles with a cheeky grin.

At last, closing one eye and drifts into a dreamy world of happiness.
