The portal by Tiffany

Liv noticed a venerable pair of goggles in an ancient, dusty, glass cabinet, along with a gas mask. She slowly crept towards the cabinet and cautiously opened it with fear of the items breaking.Liv loved the world war and was urging to try the goggles on.They we’re beckoning her to try them on ,however, she tried to resist putting them on; it was almost impossible. She had had enough and reached for the goggles.

“I see you found our goggles and gas mask from the war; they are very precious you know, so I wouldn’t touch them,”an old mans voice murmured from the shadowy corner: it sounded like he had a bit of fear in his voice. He ran up to the glass cabinet and slammed it shut.

“No one is to go in that cabinet, they a..are too precious, do you understand?”the man mumbled as the girl nodded her head in fear. The man began to wonder what would have happened if she had put the goggles on then he began to show Liv out of the Emporium.

A door is a…By Tiffany

A door is a portal leading to a mysterious world,

a corridor to the unknown,

to places unexplored.

A door is protection,

it guards and protects,

it keeps things safe and well.

A door is a new start,

making new decisions,

and right choices.

A door is illusion,

making people stare in amazement,

creating colour.

A door is hope, making people excited,

and happy.

Go and open the.. by Tiffany

Go and open the window of mystery,

maybe you’ll hear the elegant sound of robins chirping,

the winey wind whistling or the sound of dash hounds barking to get attention.

Go and open the gift of pleasure,

maybe you’ll find a surprise that makes your day,

the fun of a new toy or a new pet which would give hours of fun.

Go and open the closet of amazement,

maybe you’ll find the most prettiest pair of  clothes ever,

the cutest pair of trainers or the most comfiest coat to ever exist.

Go and open the jar of elegance,

maybe you’ll taste the sweetest strawberry jam you’ve ever had,

the crunchiest cookie or raspberry jam which will lighten up your day.

Go and open the door of mischief,

and maybe you’ll see a mirror that reflects on your past,

the reflection of your future or a shattered mirror which shows nothing.

My Poem

The ancient bike rests,

against a freshly painted wall,

leaving specs of rust everywhere.

Its handle bars flaking away,

like an old shopping trolley.

The baby giraffe,

only the size of a door,

nibbled on some crunchy leaves.

His neck,

as long as a pipe,

scrunched up as he looked up.

The sparkling spots glistened in the sun

like beautiful sapphires in the sky.

The elephant,

with a trunk as long as a Lamborghini,

gobbles on the damp soft grass.

Its ears where as big as a house

just like Dumbos.
