The Turcan is rare breed of a turtle and a toucan. The magnificent creature is over 120 years old, the special species is very close to extinction.
Interestingly, the Turcan has a hefty, hard shell meaning it cannot fly. It has a long, firm beak to catch fish on the shore of the beach. Strangely, the spectacular creature has a furry chest and scaly skin. It is a big part in the food chain as it is hunted by lions, tigers and eagles, despite their part in the food chain, the are also hunted by humans.
To defend themselves in the wild, they use their sharp tail and poisonous skin to back away predators. During hibernation times, (which are from march to may) they use their camouflage shells to hide themselves by nearby trees and bushes. Also, depending on age, they can shrink into small balls to hide in leaf piles and branches.
