Contrasting sentences

Outside, the kids ran frantically. Inside, I sat working on my homework.

Outside, I played football. Inside, my mum ate all the biscuits and drank a cup of coffee.

 

Outside, I looked brave. Inside, I was frightened.

 

Outside, they made snowballs. Inside, I sat in front of the fire.

 

Outside, my friends played basketball. Inside, the teachers marked my work.

Question poem

What is loud? A baby’s cry, glass breaking, A tigers roar

What is shiny? The gleaming moon, A diamond so bright it hurts your eyes , The sun burning the ground.

What is rough? The uneven road, the back of an elephant.

What is tingly? Lighting striking the ground, A cold fizzy  drink
