Bike poem Yaashana S TJS

The bike leans, relaxing in the same spot, against a silver birch

Foliage conceals the handlebars

A spider’s web clings to the rusty frame

Decipating handlebars stand still like a perched lion waiting for prey

A garden gnome rests after the tiring journey

Wheels retire for a well deserved rest

Mudguards relieve from their duties while mud collects itself on the wheels

Springs cling for dear life nearly about to be over stretched
The bike ends its gruelling  journey

You are… by Yaashana S TJS

You are a plump pineapple sitting on a deserted desolate beach

You are Monday morning rubbing your weary eyes

You are scorching July shining your bright rays across the vast land below

You are the lush grass stretching beyond the planet

You are a lonely star illuminating the eternal galaxy

You are a playful husky strutting along Walton Road

You are a forgotten wish reaching down to Earth hoping not to be forgotten  forever

You are as strong as a bee, as deafening as silence and as quiet as dreams

You are  a lifeless leaf laying on the corroded concrete

You are a thick book fluttering your pages like a bird flapping its wings

You are the end
