The Forest of Doom

The sun was hiding behind the clouds. It was almost 3 o’-clock.

“Come on, we have to leave now or else it will be too late.” said Patlu, Inspector Chingum agreed and they locked the door behind and went.

“First of all we have to get to the other side of the river,.” explained Patlu.

“How about we go around the river because our clothes and our equipment will get soaked if we have to wade through it” said Inspector Chingum, Patlu agreed and so they went around the humongous trashed river.  By the time they got to the other side they were exhausted and tired. The sun was going down slowly every minute. They started to stroll across the empty area for a few hours and then finally a forest. They approached the forest and took one look. They were too scared to enter the forest. The sun was descending and the moon was rising. But they entered the forest to save Motu.

After a few hours of being in the forest, they both got tired and it was too dark to see. 

“Get the torch Patlu.” Inspector Chingum said in a scared voice. Patlu checked his bag but there was no torch.

“There isn’t a torch.” said Patlu in a low voice 

“THERE ISN’T A TORCH!” shouted Inspector Chingum, he was so furious that he couldn’t contain it. Patlu then made a torch out of stick and the top part up with a lighter . Then Inspector Chingum calmed down and continued. A few minutes passed and it started raining, by now it would be midnight. Patlu then looked at the map and realized that he was almost at the middle tree (the big tree) . He then saw that there was shelter next to the middle tree. He told inspector Chingum and they rushed off. 

30 minutes later they arrived at the big tree.Patlu found it more and more difficult to see his destination as the rain bashed across his face mercilessly.

“Chingum did you hear that?” asked Patlu in fear.

“No, but did you see that?” Chingum said as shocked as anyone can be.

“It’s thunder and lightning!” They both screamed at the same time. They quickly ran into the little shelter and stayed there. Patlu searched his bag and took out some food, he took out some: bread, lotus, a gallon of milk and some cheese. He put the food on the table and they both ate.

A few hours had passed, then Chingum checked the map then told Patlu that they were in the middle of the forest. They both were shocked. They then saw that they were around 15miles away from the Devil Castle then another 30 miles away from Motu. Chingum and Motu stood up and were about to pack up but then heard a noise.

The moon glistened down. The lightning and the thunder was gone. It was still raining. The noise they both heard was a little scream. They both were horrified. They saw blood splatter on the window. At the last minute a big shadow approached and pulled out a sword. 

Patlu and Chingum packed up and ran. 

“ Hey, get back here!” shouted a voice like a killer clown. 

The shadow moved into the shelter then raised up its sword and moved around. Patlu and Chingum were shaking as the shadow moved again… 

 The leaving

That morning, a message came saying that Motu was only a few miles away from home. He was trapped in the Splinter Holm cave and it is slowly collapsing. It also said that they need help and the cave is going to fully collapse and they may not survive. The old shattering tunnels had been built many years ago and had lots of point things there falling from the sealing and smashing against the floor. Its walls were too sandy to withstand an onslaught. Its room is so small and tight you can barely fit and is hard to get out of.

So then it was all up to King Patlu (Motus’ best friend). Motu was trapped in the cave and now that Patlu has heard that Motu is stuck and trapped in a cave Patlu is now trying to figure out a way to get him out. Patlu then gets all his gear and goes out fearfully and checks the map on how he is going to get to Splinter Holm. He then checks what he needs to pass and sees that he needs to travel all the way around this long splashy river. Then go up to a forest and try to get to the other side. Then there is another river and it has a bridge but the bridge is unstable and could fall. After crossing he will then have to go a few miles and climb a massive hill then go down. After that he arrived. 

Patlu was ready but first he called his friend and asked him to join him on this mission.

“Inspector Chingum, can you join me on this mission?” asked Patlu.

“Of course why not, let’s save Motu!” said Inspector Chingum in happiness.

So they set off.
