Chapter 4

All of a sudden, a dark shape came flying out of a hole in the ceiling and dived towards the three rabbits. It grabbed them all by the neck and dragged them away, while Ruby kicked and scrambled in it’s grip. Before long, they had arrived at a cave, presumably not far from the village.

“Stay here, it’s dangerous outside,” a hoarse voice commanded the rabbits.

The second oldest rabbit asked, “Who and what are you?”

The mysterious animal moved closer to the light so that they could see it’s appearance. A fox. Ruby was about to scream, but the fox quickly talked.

“I won’t hurt you,” he reassured the trio. “We are both running from goblins. We are both on the same side.”

Once the family had decided to trust the strange fox, he gave them some food to eat and left. He was kind enough to give them shelter and food. Did he have these things himself? He could’ve just killed them and ate them instead. Ruby hoped to run into him again. Perhaps they could be friends.

Chapter 3

Finally, the family arrived at a small village. They were suprised that they had found others like them. Other rabbits. Suddenly, a loud crash was heard, followed by strange noises. The ground shook. As the rabbits took cover, the village was full of chaos. Outside of the small building, everyone was screaming and running from a weird, metallic creature that was leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Could this be a monster created by goblins to kill them?

Half the buildings in the village had been smashed to pieces. There was no way to escape. Blood of rabbits dripped from the walls. The monster was coming for them. Bang, bang, bang, creak. It stopped. Had it finally lost sight of the family? Or maybe it had given up. But whatever the rabbits thought it was thinking was not true. Out of the blue, it swung its huge arm at the building. The place was collapsing.

Chapter 2

The sun hadn’t even began to rise when a rabbit called Ruby was shaken awake by her brothers. The journey to a safe haven had started a few days ago, yet they hadn’t moved very far. Above Ruby, a willow tree’s leaves draped over the family. She quickly ate a small amount of food and some water from the river nearby before setting out again.

Ruby’s younger brothers kept her company by telling stories and making up jokes, but it had no effect on her. She wore a solemn expression. She knew she had to be serious or she would be eaten by goblins and whatever other rabbit-eating animals there were.

The Goblins

It was time.

The previous evening, a letter had been found at the doorstep of a small cottage in the woods. The goblins were coming. Outside of the cottage, a family of rabbits prepared to leave their home. It was not safe there. The safest place seemed like it was a thousand miles away, but it was their only option. The rest of the world would surely be destroyed by an army of goblins. They’d take the Whispering Woods for themselves and slaughter everyone they see. Finally, the family set out, leaving their cosy house behind. Excited, the youngest dashed ahead. He did not know of the dangers that lay ahead. Then again, no one knew what would happen on the trip.

How To Look After an Ice Dragon

Have you been entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of an ice dragon? If so, this guide is for you. There are a lot of things you must do for this creature, so pay attention!

How To Look After an Ice Dragon:

  1. First, make sure that the dragon trusts you. You can tell if it does if it will follow you. If it does not, you can earn its trust by talking to it in a kind manner.
  2. Next, prepare a cold, large room for your ice dragon. As it’s wings and horns are made of icicles and frost, they may melt when exposed to high temperatures.
  3. Also, you should remember to feed food and water to your dragon twice a day. Ice dragons are omnivores, which means that they eat plants and meat.
  4. After that, communicate and bond with your dragon by talking and playing with it. Dragons are known to be very energetic, playful animals.
  5. Additionally, take your dragon out on walks for at least fifteen minutes per day to keep your pet fit and healthy.

These are five basic steps that you should follow if you want to take care an ice dragon. Once it grows up, you must unfortunately release it back into the wild. It will be an upsetting moment, but you can rest knowing that you have successfully raised an extraordinary creature.

Breaking News – Unicorn Spotted in Star Lake!

Evie Jones, mystical creatures correspondent

Last Saturday, an 11 year old girl named Sasha spotted a rare species of unicorn at Star Lake.

Sasha was interviewed earlier today. The young girl was on a walk by the local lake when she noticed an ice unicorn. It was believed to have been practicing how to freeze water. The unicorn was about the size of a school desk and had a long horn. Sasha said that she was "amazed to see a unicorn" and that she "didn't dare to disturb it."

The police have advised all citizens to call them if they suspect that a unicorn has been in the area. They are also hiring unicornologists to take unicorns wandering the streets to shelters and homes. Citizens should not worry about this strange situation.

The Water Unicorn

The water unicorn is a special, fascinating species of unicorn that lives in lakes, seas and oceans. Keep reading to find out more about this creature.

The water unicorn’s fur and mane are both blue to blend in with water, the most common shade being dark blue. The shade of blue depends on the country that the unicorn was born in. It’s horn is made of pure white pearls and its hooves and legs are decorated with multicoloured coral. An amazing fact about the water unicorn is that it can breathe and communicate underwater. They can even survive under the water without going to the surface for a year! They do not have wings, but they can walk and swim.

Water unicorns, as mentioned in the first paragraph, live in lakes, seas and oceans. There is a small chance that you will find them on small, uninhabited islands. The rest live far under the water, which makes them hard to find unless you have the right equipment.

Water unicorns are curiously rumored to never make contact with any humans. Contrary to the popular belief, some people tell stories about people being rescued from drowning by water unicorns. It is unknown whether these stories are true. Even if they aren’t, we do know that these unicorns aren’t hostile creatures.

What I Have and Have Never Done

I have never written a best-selling book but I’ve written many stories in class.

I have never seen the view of Earth from space but I have seen it from the cable cars.

I have never won in an exhilarating, fierce tennis match but I have won a harmless one against my friends.

I have never been to a royal banquet but I have eaten with my family in a restaurant on the weekend.
