Chapter 2

After a few weeks, the weather had changed ; the fog rested over the kanna as it started to hail. Once the sun swapped with the moon, most of the crew was awake and they were over a strange island it had a beach that was covered in shells, with lakes and rivers going in between the trees into the forest. On captain crow’s map it said the island is called dinosaur tail.

Kayla stared down from the deck, wondering how long they are going to be there for as Joe yelled, “We are here,” the whole crew was excited  to know that the adventure had begun, “Prepare to land!” Roared the captain Kayla had seen a rainbow ladybug landed on the born smooth railing, she thought she saw something in the forest. Kayla was wondering what other animals they were going to find and she was scared what if there was dangerous animals then kayla as the sun was beginning to set.

Joe stared down as the sky ship kanna was landing he noticed that most of the shells were moving out of the way, “ Kayla come and see this,” he shouted, “What ! ” Kayla asked while she was running to see what was wrong. She looked down and she felt like it was a dream seeing all of the shells move. In the distance they could see the fog hovering over the forest, there was a bunny that was behind a strange blue tree like a kid hiding behind a parents leg  and a flock of beautiful birds flying across the sky looking for food to eat then there was a loud bang, “ The Kanna has landed!” Shouted captain crow. As the crew sprinted off the sky ship to find a place to camp for the night however  Kayla found a ripped tent she was wondering if it was from the lost explorer

When Kayla looked up the moon was in middle of the sky as the rest of the crew was having dinner Kayla showed Joe the weird, ripped tent that looked like it had been there for a few months at that moment green lightning struck the tent once they looked back the old tent wasn’t there so they went back and they they had finished dinner they told the rest of the crew but they weren’t listening because they thought that Kayla and Joe were lying, “lightning isn’t green,” said anna (she is the chef) then Joe saw a tall figure hiding in the forest. A shape. A twig snapped.  The Leaves rustled. The fire went out. As the shadow figure ran between the trees. Two sets of red eyes. Then it began to disappear.

 On the island of dreams,

I saw leaves that are made of candy floss as pink as a flamingo,

And gingerbread houses with jelly beans as door handles,

 and lollipops that were actually tulips and the water was sweet, sticky honey.

On the island of dreams,

I found a volcano overfilling with boiling, hot lava,

And dark water carriers drifting around the sky,

While lightning was striking  the ground while the ground was screaming in pain.

On the island of dreams,

I noticed a carrot muncher hopping into the the black and white forest,

While footballs were bouncing everywhere,

And the leef carriers were as black as night with leaves as white as snow.

On the island of dreams,

I saw monkeys fighting and it looked like they were warriors,

And there were bright yellow bananas falling down from the trees,

And baby monkeys were wailing while the mums tried to calm them down.

Dear captain Harriet culpepper,

I am writing to you to see if I can get a job on the aurora, as a new member of the crew on your latest adventure. I’m hoping you have room for one more traveller that might be a help with all different talents.

I love adventures : and I want to see if we can find ermitage wriggles worth the lost explorer and I love your work as it’s amazing.

Firstly, I graduated from flying and cooking school. I also took a navigation course and I am the top of the class.

Secondly, I have been taking cooking classes all of highschool so I can help the chef make amazing food for the rest of the crew.

I have always been good at navigation and steering : this means that I can help navigate at night as it is very hard but I know how to do it.

Furthermore I am good at doing first aid as my dad has shown me and and sometimes they done it in school so i can help anyone that is hurt so if someone tripped i could see if it is serious or not.

I have been on a sky ship before as my dad used to take me on his all the time.so you don’t have to worry about me on the Aurora and I won’t get in your way.

I am good at fighting so if we are getting attacked I can defend the sky ship. And I can teach some of the other crew members how to fight and defend themselves.

And I have the ability to draw maps as a result of this, i can draw maps while we are exploring an island so we can find our way back home or to the Aurora.

Please consider me as a new member of the best crew. I don’t eat much, I don’t make a mess and I will work hard for you.

Advice for a sky quest (n- z)

Always  bring a map and a torch to just in case you get lost in the middle of the night then  you can find the way back home.

Never open a door on a tree because you will fall in and it will never end.

My advice is to never feed a pelican as it will steal all of you food then you will be hungry until you get back home.

Never go near a hive or the queen will attack you with all of the other bees.

Always bring a carrot otherwise a rabbit will come after you and will kick you in the head.

Never sprint otherwise if you slip it will make a loud bang and it will scare the animals and some might attack you  like a snake.

Always give the giant spider, that can eat anything,a fly to eat as it might devour you. 

Never go under the bridge as there is a troll who will have you for lunch.

Always talk to the unicorn since it will give you some food to eat and it will never run out of food.

Never go into a van as the doors will close and you will be stuck and no one can help you.

Be careful of the wolf, that is extremely dangerous It, is really hungry since it hasn’t had food for a day.

Never go near a cave as a dragon,that isn’t to be messed with,will charge at you.

Always take an x-ray just in case there is a hungry tiger you can see through the bush.

Never go on the snow as a yeti will belly flop onto you.

Always chat with a zebra as it will help you get back home if you get lost.

How to find a lost explorer

First, go to the magical lake behind the school,

After that wait until a talking fish tells you to go to a tiger,

And the fish should give you a big, shiny key and a small bucket of meat.

Once you get there,

unlock the cage if the tiger is awake give him the meat,

And if he’s sleeping don’t wake him up,

After that you should see a bit of paper. Read it.

It should say to sprint to the park behind the purple garden.

There should be a black hole, it will be as dark as the midnight sky,

Wait for half an hour before that throw a rock in,

And a carrot muncher will hop out with a brilliant, big bump on his head,

He will give you a rock with big, black symbols on it.

Behind the library you’ll find a hill,

Rush to the tree and search for a door,

Open the door and slide down the tunnel,

There will be a troll give him the rock with the symbols on while asking for a scroll the scroll should say where to find the explorer.

Then gallop to a hotel that is near a hospital,

Ask for the key to room 403,

Dash up the stairs and open the talking door,

The lost explorer will be sleeping in one of the big beds.
