There are some places where people never visit. The Emporium of Surprise was a mysterious place.

Even though in the window there was a black and red shadow, she was still not scared. Even though you could smell rotted food, she thought it was more interesting. Even though there was sound of footsteps, she was still not scared. Even though, inside you could see a faded body run past the window.

Louise loved mysteries, so she decided to enter the heavy black door to the shop.

Chapter 1

Louise was always curious about this one shop because she never seen anyone enter it and her mum has always warned her about the shop, but Louise always wanted to know why she was not allowed in the shop but when she asked her mum, her mum just said just never go into the shop so that’s why Louise was so curious about the shop. But one day she was walking past the shop and the door was opened but she was quite surprised.

Nervously, she entered the shop and as she walked in, she was confused but curious. Louise didn’t see anything wrong with the shop and couldn’t wait to explore. Louise started to look around, she seen some stuffed animals on the shelf and there were so many toys there was toy figures, cars, pens, pencils and much more. inside was quite big, it was very dull, there was not much colour. At the side was a library full of books in a room in the corner, she entered the library it was dark and creepy, but Louise did not think anything of it she could not find a good book. However, she did find a red book, so she sat down and started to read it. She heard some footsteps, looked around and could not see anything so she carried on.

It was the owner! He popped from behind a red leather curtain he said” What are you doing, did you not bother to read the sign? We’re shut get out!

Louise said, “But the door was open so that’s why I am here.” the old man said.

“Well, no because I just did it but any way,” Now please leave the shop!”

The old man looked a bit freaky; he had a lizard on his arm and a parrot on his shoulder. He was tall and had long hair so Louise kind of understood why her mum said not to enter the shop.
