Chapter 3 a castle of dreams

Melvin spotted a candy castle and ran straight for it. It had; Malteser cannon balls, liquorish gates, marshmallow walls and sherbet levers for the drawbridge. Melvin pulled the lever and opened the castle gate. No-one was home, there was a gingerbread throne and all sorts of things made out of sweets. It was exactly how he had pictured it in his head

“hello?” Yelled Melvin. But he was met by silence, he rapidly ran up the stairs, it felt like they went on forever. Finally he reached the top, Melvin gazed upon the furniture; plump fluffy gummy pillows, gummy couches and chocolate chairs and tables. Something wasn’t right, Melvin made a wish when was drawing in the book. He missed his brother Benji so much.

Crash” Melvin heard a noise coming from the main hall, he crept down the stairs with stealth, he peered round, an army of some-sort, too hard to tell what though. What he found most peculiar of all was that someone was sitting on the throne. “attention” all the soldiers faced him, “what should I do, should I run” he thought.

He began to bolt down the stairs running from them. “what are those things” he said to himself. He ran of the drawbridge and swam through the river, but when he reached the land the door was gone without a trace. Melvin panicked as he could still here the marches getting louder and louder.
